We do allow it because of our set-up. In our master bedroom we have our bed that is raised, and then another king-sized mattress on the floor next to it that is the bed Beau and I co-sleep in whenever he wakes up in the middle of the night and wants to nurse (he starts out in that bed by himself, but when he wakes up I go join him). Charlie has been allowed to jump on that bed, since it's low to the ground. BUT, lately, he's decided that he wants to stand on the big bed and then jump off of it on to the floor mattress. He's also learned how to do a flip, where he jumps and spins around completely in the air and then lands on his butt.

I don't know WHERE on earth he learned to do that, but I'm pretty sure it's a recipe for neck-injury disaster. So now we're trying to put the kibosh on this, but since he was always used to jumping on the floor mattress before, it's been a hard habit to break.

My kid is willful! This is a hard job.
