Used to discourage but sometimes allow it, until a slat in one of the beds broke (ironically not from jumping, but from me plopping down on it). Now if they really feel the need to jump I haul a mattress onto the floor.

Only occasionally on our king bed, and with supervision...

No- we've had way too many injuries from kids jumping and falling and hitting the foot board that goes around our bed. Laney and Gannon's bed have drawers underneath so there's a wood frame that goes around their mattress, also.

This is us.......although hotel beds are usually fair game.....with supervision. Helps burn off some of that pent up energy from long drives lol

Adam does it on his bed when we aren't in there, but he will stop the second we walk in. His bed is still the "day bed" thing his crib turns into so he has the sides to hold on to while he jumps and he loves it. Hopefully we will be getting him a new bed soon though.

They are not supposed to, but I catch them pretty often. I'm always scared they will fall and break a bone or something. We may try the mattress in the floor.

We do allow it because of our set-up. In our master bedroom we have our bed that is raised, and then another king-sized mattress on the floor next to it that is the bed Beau and I co-sleep in whenever he wakes up in the middle of the night and wants to nurse (he starts out in that bed by himself, but when he wakes up I go join him). Charlie has been allowed to jump on that bed, since it's low to the ground. BUT, lately, he's decided that he wants to stand on the big bed and then jump off of it on to the floor mattress. He's also learned how to do a flip, where he jumps and spins around completely in the air and then lands on his butt. I don't know WHERE on earth he learned to do that, but I'm pretty sure it's a recipe for neck-injury disaster. So now we're trying to put the kibosh on this, but since he was always used to jumping on the floor mattress before, it's been a hard habit to break. My kid is willful! This is a hard job.

Eeek. I would have a heart attack Molly. Lola will sometimes bounce on our bed, when I am in the room - but that is it.

Nathan will bounce on our king size bed with his bottom while we're with him but I don't really allow jumping or walking on our bed.

He actually really loves spending time on our bed! He'll drag some toys there and sit/lay to play for a good while!
