Who is sending their LO to preschool in the fall?

What is most important to you in choosing a preschool?

Location, facilities, price, program, teacher, etc?

As everyone knows, Nicholas is in daycare, so he is essentially in preschool.... all of the classes base their activities on the age group. He just moved into the 3's class, so that is pretty much as close to preschool as one can get. I can tell the difference already in some of the things they are working on versus his 2's class, though that class was pretty good too.

My main focus in looking for care, whether it be preschool or daycare would be reputation, references, a caring/loving staff-that is more important to me than their specific programs since most preschools follow somewhat similar guidelines.

John is in preschool this year

What is most important to you in choosing a preschool?
We choose the preschool that his sister went to and we choose that preschool, because they have a really good teaching staff and the price is good.

Abby has been in daycare since she was a year old. It's like going to school, but it costs me money. The staff is great and she has learned tons already. When she is old enough (Sept 2013) for school she will attend full full days in french immersion at the same school as her brothers.

I will say that our decision on whether to send them or not is based more on the social aspect because I used to teach pre K before I had our kids sooo they already get the curriculum part at home....B already knows everything they are learning in Pre K but the socialization has been wonderful for her....

Levi already recognizes most of his letters and knows some of the sounds and I'm confident that by the time he would start (in a year) he will know them all.....sooo I guess it depends on how we feel he is on the socialization aspect as to what we decide to do

I am trying to choose between two awesome preschools next year. Both are run by my church. They're both about the same distance from my house. I love both teachers. One is a little cheaper if we get financial aid. Both programs are entirely nature-based and non-academic which is essential to me.

Maybe I'll flip a coin???

Who is sending their LO to preschool in the fall?

Violet is going (fingers crossed we get the spot) to the same Montessori School her brother went to for preschool. I feel it's really important for her since she misses the cut off for school by 20 days and will have to wait an extra almost year for Kindergarten here.

What is most important to you in choosing a preschool?

Small class size, high teacher to child ratio, plus the Montessori way of learning is one we feel very stronly about. It was a great wonder for our son and we hope it has a similar effect on Violet.

Location, facilities, price, program, teacher, etc?

Ours is quite pricey a month for three days a week. The location is prime....about a 15 minute walk from our house. It starts at 915 in the morning which provides perfect time for us to drop Jacob off at school at 9 and then walk her down to preschool.

Who is sending their LO to preschool in the fall?

I haven't decided whether or not I will be sending Melody to preschool in the fall yet. I know that it would be good for her, but I don't know if I can afford it or not.

What is most important to you in choosing a preschool?

There are several different preschools that I am thinking about sending her to. One is at my church, one is at a different church, and one is secular. The two churches are close to my apartment; the secular one is a bit farther away. I definitely want her to have a good teacher. Unfortunately, the deciding factor will most likely be whichever one is cheapest, because we are on a strict budget.
