I gave up yrs ago trying to be organized and on track. If I get thru the day with my wits intact, and everyone alive, I consider it a success.

I have a physical planner with everything I need to get done and appointments and such. I also have specific times of the day that I try and get things done. I also have gotten rid of crap in my life (physical stuff) because less stuff equal a more organized and efficient me.

I make lists! Also, I make sure to plan as much as I can of the running type errands for when Ryan is going to be home on the weekend/Monday.

This Super Mom relies on Super Dad as an integral part of the operation! With him home on Mondays and half of Tuesday (with no work obligations) he gets a lot of chores done around the house- laundry, changing sheets, dishes.

I try to keep things on the calendar in the kitchen AND try to look at it every few days. I do certain tasks at the same time- groceries on weekend, bill first week of the month, etc.

And I think most importantly I don't actually try to be Super Mom! I plan some fun activities in now and again, don't stress about getting it all done or having fun/educational activities all the time, and let things slide. Working full time, I just don't have the time to get nuts about stuff and have to split my time to the best of my ability while still staying sane- sometimes that means foregoing chores or having to let James whine about playing alone while I get something necessary done.

I LOVE lists! I make lists about everything!!! I may not always, or rarely, follow them, but it helps me stay on track when I do look at them. I also like planning much more than executing, so making lists lets me do that!

Oh man this is always a work in progress...

After kids are asleep I spend 10 minutes picking up the kitchen and family room

I pick up dirty clothes around the house and put them directly to the washer and wait til it's full then run

When we need to go some place I get the diaper bag etc in the car then go back for the kids or I will forget it haha

I've learned that I'm not super human and sometimes one child needs to cry for a mintute, they'll live. And the house won't be picture perfect, oh well.

I let Adam eat wherever he wants lol, why battle it? But dinner he must eat with us in his chair.

I clean every day except for mon and tues bc those are dh's off days. I do laundry every day so i only have one load to do. I vacuum every day, sweep the kitchen floors after every meal and clean up the kitchen after every meal. Toys are picked up before moving onto activities etc. Beds are made daily. Bathroom is cleaned 1x a week, 2 if needed.
