Well, where to start...

I've been pretty sick this week. It started with deadly diarrhea which I thought was food poisoning, but then a few days later I had violent vomiting much of the night. Wow. I sure hope I'm better now and that none of the kids get whatever it was.

The kids have been on spring break this week which is fun but sort of tough. I love not getting them ready for school in the morning and we've been keeping busy with a zoo trip, Chuck E. Cheese, Castle Park, etc. Packing four kids around everywhere is a bit exhausting though.

George is six months now and so active. He pulls to stand and lets go. I think he'll even be walking before Joey was. He hurts himself so much. Good thing we still have the helmet we ordered for Joey.

My mom and aunt were down for a week for my cousin's wedding. It was awesome having them stay with us. Two other adult women who were so helpful cooking, cleaning, and caring for the kids. I miss them so much.

And most importantly for our family we had a big disappointment in court last week. We were really hoping that we could proceed with adopting Z, but her bio dad's lawyer had a family emergency and so the TPR hearing was continued until the end of June.

So I've been in a sick, busy, happy, and devastated place lately. I'm feeling a little sad about how slow our PR is, but it is allowing me to make room in my life for other things such as doing taxes and applying for preschools, etc.

How are you feeling now, Jess? Better, I hope. Sorry to hear about the bad news from court. I can't imagine what it would be like to live in a constant state of anxiety over something that you basically have no control over. I'm sure that you wish everything was just settled once and for all for Zaniyah. It will be, soon! Thanks for the update.

Yep, just fine health-wise Molly! If only I weren't so sleep-deprived.

Thanks for the encouragement about the court thing. Only three more months and I'm 99.9% certain we'll be able to move forward with the adoption. I just wish it were over.
