It continues to surprise me what things my husband was never exposed to. I discovered that he'd never heard of the Velveteen Rabbit or several other books, songs, and nursery rhymes that I thought *everyone* knew about.

Today I found out that he thought Big Bird was female.

Hmmm, I thought everyone knew about the Velveteen Rabbit! My husband never had Chinese or any ethnic foods cause his mom didn't like them. Now, granted, I didn't have them til college b/c my parents never exposed me to them either, but he didn't have them til we were married! Other than that, he's familiar with most of the stuff.

oh food is a HUGE one. My dh never knew you could marinate meat until he met me! He'd never eaten tacos, or had actual pasta (not from a can......) Blows my mind.

He also had never gone on any sort of trip with his family, like ever. He'd never left the province until he met me either.

He's also never seen a lot of the shows I watched as a kid (today's special, fraggle rock, the SMURFS to name a few!) its crazy!
