When we were in the car, my mom, sister and I would try to make a list of words that sounded the same, but spelt differently. (Maybe that's why I am so cool!) Help me make a list ladies! I know there are a lot of ones we always missed.

I'll start.

Where/Wear

Mmmmmm, homophones. Oooh, one of my favorites is

Raise/Raze

I especially love it since you can raise a building up and then raze a building down. Erika = Dork

wig/Whig

Does anyone know without looking it up what the Whig party was all about? I wonder why it just disappeared...

Great/Grate

Does it count if the word is said and spelled the same but has two meanings? I thought of fret - as in to worry and fret - as in part of a stringed instrument this morning.

Oh, and when I just looked up fret the instrument part to ensure I had the right spelling, I saw another good one-

freeze/ frieze
