Just wondering how well everyone's LO listens? Do they listen well enough to not go near the street, things like that?

My LO's hear me, but they still do otherwise sometimes. I get nervous with them playing in the front yard b/c I'm worried they will run in the street or do other things I tell them not to do.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Mine listens pretty well...until she gets distracted by something. Like I'll let her walk on the sidewalk of the strip mall without holding my hand, but I always stay between her in the street because I know there's a chance if she sees a dog or a fire engine or something else interesting, she'll head toward it without remembering her instructions were to stay on the sidewalk.

I hear ya, same thing here. They listen, but it scares me because it's selective listening!

My kids are a bit apprehensive about strangers, but I'm sure that will really kick in once they start learning about not going to strangers.

Depends. In most situations she listens very well. I have my serious voice, which she knows well, and it works 99% of the time. I do have to keep a close eye on her, though, because she is easily distracted too

He listens better to his father than me. He has the selective listening too but add the no sense of danger and meltdowns of autism and I feel like he is the equivalent of three children rolled into one. lol

Ava listens well overall, but in places outside, I have to hover because she darts around fast. With Aria getting here, though she's in love with her little sister, she's been more bold and defiant.
