Do you have a vegetable garden? Do you like gardening? If you have a garden, what stuff do you grow?

We have a vegetable garden and also have strawberries. We grow several kinds of tomatoes and hot peppers. We change it up every year, but we always do tomatoes and hot peppers since we use them all the time. I love being able to make fresh salsa out of the garden!

Has anyone ever grown watermelons? Did they do good and were they a mess to grow? I LOVE watermelons and often think about planting them, but they'd take up so much room I think.

We do not have a garden although I have done it a few times. I have a brown thumb, allergies and can't figure out a weed from a plant when they are tiny so I am a terrible gardiner. That being said we have this amazing farm nearby that sells their produce at awesome prices so we buy there from July to October which is when they are open. The food is so fresh and good and of course buying local is always the best way to go when you can.

I love farmer's markets. It's so cool to support the local farmers and crafters. We have a new farmer's market in town and they have cool stands of homeade pickles, jams, even soaps and things. Plus of course lots of produce!!
