Liam had his lead tests and other blood tests run for his 1 yr check up. I received the results tonight the dr wants to run another test the week of the 8th. He wasn't saying much because he wants to see the next test.
Liam's red blood cells were small and he had a suppressed blood count red blood cells were low and the nutriphil (unsure how to spell) white count was very low and his total white cells were low He said he was not anemic and the nutriphil count usually is transient
Lead can suppress cell growth and immune system functions. It is the quickest test to run before checking for other issues. If your home is over 30 years old you have a high risk for having lead paint in your walls.
They did the lead at the same time it was 2 which falls in the normal range 5 or lower. We live in a zip code that requires children to be tested at 1 and 2 years of age. I actually thought we were going only for lead. I didn't even know other tests were being run. I guess that is why I am a little thrown.
I have nothing to add as to what might be the problem. I've just been through difficult times with Gavin's health lately and I know how scary it is! Just stay off google and wait it out and see what the doctor says! Keep us updated!
