Lucy has a big temper. When she throws a tantrum what I do depends on what its over. If its just because she can't have her own way I ignore it. I find by walking away then she stops very fast and calms right down. I do tell her that when she's done she can come and get me and we'll talk then.
Kyleah has tantrums probably everyday, because she is getting so independant and wants to do everything herself, i mean EVERYTHING. i'm so used to doing everything for her, its an adjustment for both of us lol
and she is a SCREAMER when she doesnt get her way, or she wants something she can't have, and I'm not sure on how to deal with that
Ignore it, but she gets more angry when I dont pay attention to her demands.
so after I explain why she can't do what she wants to do, and she still screams at me, i do the corner thing which doesnt seem to work either..
so my last attempt is distraction lol
which usually works. almost everytime!
Ben has pretty much chilled on the temper tantrums for the most part. Now instead of the typical raging toddler tantrum he will just cry and act like I've hurt his feelings. He is fairly easy to chill out now. Just let him cry on my shoulder type of thing and distract him.
