Up until this move I had a lot of pictures on the wall...I mean not covered, but I had a lot of the professional pictures from when the kids were little. With this move I looked at them when I was putting up pictures and decided I wanted a more simple approach. I have our wedding picture up and the most recent set of kid pictures but not ALL the baby pictures and such.
What's your take?
I'd like to have a collage of sorts on one wall, but I think I like the more casual pictures now than the staged Sears kind of portraits.
All i have are a few wedding pictures and only ONE pic of Presley framed. I also have a couple of pictures framed in Presley's room, but I just recently added those. I love pictures but am terrible about having them printed and framed. Most new pictures go up on the refrigerator and get rotated out from time to time. So I guess my style is more digital frames and refrigerator magnets. Ha!
I hate clutter (but it always wins!) but at least I can control the amount on the walls. I haven´t got any professional photos of the kids as I prefer the everyday poses. I have a couple of multi photo frames up in the hallway and in our bedroom.
We don't have any family pictures on the wall at all. I'm actually feeling a little bad about it now.
We do have a couple framed pictures from our wedding in our bedroom on a shelf, and we have picture of Adrian on our computers. But I'm terrible about getting them printed too. They all just get posted to dropshots.
I just saw the neatest idea for transferring pictures to wood blocks on Pinterest though, so that may change.
I prefer simplicity, but I do enjoy a few family pictures here and there. I haven't hung any pictures in this rental house.. We've never intended to stay here long, so that leaves Zero motivation to decorate.. I've got all kinds of cute ideas pinned on pinterest for the new house though! ...If I can get my act together and actually PRINT some! Like others, I'm horrible at getting updated pics printed AND framed... I don't have a single picture of Conlan framed... I feel terrible about that!
Our decorations are primarily kid artwork, some paintings (a trio over the couch) and some random things people gave us. the only decoration piece we've bought is a painting of the back of the Port Orleans hotel in our room.
