So there's this place near us called Sandy Cove, and they offer a 5 day "camp" for families during the summer. It's like a hotel (they have cabins, but I'm not one for roughing it). So 5 days, food included, as well as activities such as speakers, paddle boats, kayaks, giant swing, zip line, rock climbing wall, tubing, mini golf, disc golf, etc. Usually it's $2900 for the 5 days, but because Jeff was deployed we get to do it ALL free. I told them when I registered that Jeff had to work (didn't get into specifics) and they said that I could either wait and do it next year or go ahead and do it without him, and well with things the way they are I decided to do it this year. It's only about 30 minutes from here which is great too.
They ended up giving us 2 adjoining rooms, each with a queen size bed and two twins, so if Jeff does decide to spend a night up there he'll get one and I'll get the other. Megan's birthday is the 31st so he'll come up for that night at least and we'll do the whole family thing.
They have morning "teaching" and optional evening "teaching" (it's a Christian based camp) for which they have separate activities for kids 0-high school. Hopefully it goes over well. Afternoons are free for activities. No TV's in the rooms so that should be interesting! It's right on the Chesapeake so from what I hear it's very beautiful and peaceful. My only concern is that it will be very marriage based, and well, right now I just don't want to hear that, but it's geared towards "families" and not all "families" are 2 parent, right? Anyway...I'm not looking forward to packing!

Thank you *kiliki* for the beautiful siggy!
