My son Alexander (5) has Swine Flu. He and I are on Tamiflu for the next 5 days. On a good note I had my U/S Aaden is 31w6d and weighs 4.5 lbs. He also has alot of hair. I am so excited all of my babies were bald. Has anyone had an u/s that I can compare weight? Does 4.5 lbs already sound like alot? I will try to post my link to my facebook page

4.5lbs sounds a little larger than average, I think my 9 1/2 pounder was that weight at about 34 weeks along. Have fun with that!

Good luck on the flu, I'm sure the TamiFlu will work. Let us know how it goes.

4.5 lbs is "about" the size of a 34wker. I have scans every week but I never find out any info until my 3D scans, which are once a month. My last 3D scan was Oct. 9th and at that time, my LO was 3lbs 14 oz. So that was 5 days ago if that helps any.

Hope your son gets better soon and fast!!

I'm not sure on weight but my son Noah was born at 37 weeks and weighed 5lb.4oz. Caiden was 6lb.4oz and 39.5 weeks. I think it depends on the pregnancy and genetics.

I don't know how big Owen is, but wish I did!!

When I had my U/S last week I was 31 weeks and 5 days. The tech said our baby was 4 pounds 6 oz which is the 67th percentile for a baby at that stage. So it seems like you are pretty close to the same as my babies size. Also she said based on the weight and measurements that the baby is measuring 33 weeks instead of 32 but U/S later in pregnancy are not as accurate in determining the due date so she probably is just a big baby.

Oh and also my tech said that the estimate that the machine gives on weight can by off by 10 oz in either direction so they are not necessarily true.

That said I think 4.5 pounds give or take for a 32 week baby is in the normal range.

hope this helped.

At 34 weeks Elsa was 4.5lbs, and she was born at 39 weeks at 6lbs 5oz. I feel like the ultrasounds aren't always as accurate as they claim.

I hav enever had a weight estimate late in pregnancy but I think they can be way off anyway so who really knows.

I'm so sorry you got the flu in your house. Seems like a lot of ladies children are getting it.
