So, we got a call from Aleah's school last Monday and we had to go and pick her up becuase she had slight fever. Took her to doc on WEd. tested her for regular flu and also strept. both negative. Had her out of school till Friday, she seemed ok with a slight cough.
her dad picked her up Friday for the week...she was running fever on Saturday and none on Sunday. Then again a slight fever yesterday. The earliest they could get her in to see the doc was today at 7;30. Well, he was told she has the very beginings (slight) of pheumonia...I AM FREAKING, I mean FREAKING out. He prescribvved Zithromax and said to keep her home tomorrow and that she could go to school Thursday if she is feeling better...but I am so nervous, cause I am not there with her...My ex said that if I was there I would not be so nervous because the doc said that he didn't even need to see her unless she gets worse. SHe is with her dad until Friday...Argh!! He does have a medical background and is a great dad, so I am sure that he will take good care of her...but I am still nervous!!

Speaking as a person who not only gets pneumonia every year, but my son has been hospitalized twice with it. Zithromax rocks. My fav antibiotic for fighting infections, it's powerful and fast. Did they give you puffers at all? She's young & healthy, I'm sure she'll be ok, feel like poop for a while, but it's good it was caught early. Big hugs to you, Mom!

Hope she gets better soon! Drives me crazy when my boys are sick and at their dad's house, I just worry when I can't SEE how they are doing for myself. She is young and it sounds like they caught it early so that is great!

Sorry she is so sick. DD has had pneumonia 6 times and it is so horrible and scary everytime. I can't imagine not being with her I will keep her in my prayers!
