For those of you with gestational diabetes who have delivered . . . How big were your babies at birth? Did your sugars go back to normal after birth?

I'm starting to wonder about the size of this baby and thought I would see where the rest of you stand. I'm also looking forward to some good old carbohydrates after the baby arrives, hoping that my sugars go back to normal after birth!

Baby was born at 38 weeks and 2 days weighing 7lbs 12oz. GD was diet controlled.

Sugars were coming back normal the following day. They tested my blood sugar levels for the 24 hours after Connor was born while I was still in the hospital. All came back normal and I was on a regular diet. They also tested his sugra levels for the first 24 hours. All his were normal as well.

Excellent! Thanks so much, Robin. I'm just having this feeling that this baby is going to be on the bigger side. He's not going to be as big as Rylan but still a fairly good side. I'm guessing between 8.8 and 9.2. Just intuition . . .

I've been controlling everything with diet, as well.
