Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Its been 6.5 months since i delivered my baby girl, but i havent lost any weight still... i was so frustrated last month due to all the weight gain and not being able to lose it...i was gaining weight every month instead of losing...but well then i started to change my eating habits...i started a more healthy eating plan consisting of fruits, lots of milk, yoghurt, and eating my meals with very less oil and avoiding white rice, bread and pastas. I'm also trying to include moderate exercise(i.e. walk for 20 mins) 5 times a week. Since the last 4 weeks i've been able to lose 6.6 pounds... i am taking it slow and trying to be steady.

Pre Pregnancy weight: 125
Delivery weight: 160
Goal weight: 120-125
Current weight: 152 (as of 1/11/10)

I havent updated for quite long over here but have been doing so in my weight loss notebook manually...so here is the total history uptil now..will be updating over here more regularly now:

7th Mar, 2010 - 149.6
14th Mar, 2010 - same as above
1st Apr, 2010 - 147.4
21st Apr, 2010 - 146.3
30th Apr, 2010 - 145.2
7th May, 2010 - 143
14th May,2010 - 143
20th May, 2010 - 143 (why am i not losing weight anymore)
28th May, 2010 - (on a 7 day diet, will post results on 1st june after my diet ends)
1st June, 2010 - 141 (i'm so down i thought this 7 day diet was going to work...well it worked but it only made me lose 1 kg )
20th June, 2010- 141 (again no improvement in weight loss but atleast not gaining anything)
17th July,2010- 141 (not losing hope, i can do it)
1st August, 2010- 138.6
20th Sep, 2010 - 138.6 (Havent done anything to lose weight in the past 1.5 month , Have to restart eating healthy and some exercise)
15th Oct, 2010-
1st Nov, 2010 -
15th Nov, 2010 -
1st Dec, 2010 -

Updated weight as of Feb 25th,2010: 150 lbs

Havent lost much in the last one and a half month coz i was on vacation but glad that i didnt gain any...so am back to my place and out of my vacation mode!

I'm a sort of a person that panics if given a difficult task so i have started by breaking down my major goal into mini goals spread over a month and making realistic expectations from my body!

lets hope i'm able to achieve the following mini-goal:
By April 1st,2010 i want to be down by 10lbs i.e. at 140 lbs.

Ahhh! i am just unable to lose anymore weight although i have also incorporated regular walk in my routine... I have only managed to lose 2 pounds in the last 1 month..which is totallyy disappointing for me...I guess i need to do some toxin-releasing diet which might jump-start the weight loss? anyone out there tried the 7 day diet thing? i am not sure if its safe to do or not...if u have any opinion, do lemme know...

Weight loss is hard but you can do it. I've lost 36 lbs without any type of pills. If I can do it anyone can. As for those toxin-releasing diet...I've never tried it but I've heard of it. I don't use anything mostly because of my high blood pressure and I don't want anything bad to happen. Try jogging instead of running. My aunt walked everyday and never really lost weight but when she started jogging and running she dropped lbs like crazy.

Thanks Amy....yeah i have started doing some interval training i.e. walking for the most part and jogging for 5 mins as of now...will increase the jog time gradually... i am also planning to get a treadmill soon as its quite difficult to manage going out with Rumaisa..she does not want to sit in the stroller at all which puts me in a total fight with her or sometimes i have to give in and leave my walk! Once i get my treadmill, ill be able to jog and walk at my convenience..i am targetting for an one hour (half hour jog and half hour walk) then....
The 7 day diet does not make u eat any pill or anything but its a sort of crash diet which makes u eat very less...the typical menu is fruits on the first day (all u can eat), vegetables on the 2nd, fruits & vegetables on the 3rd, 3 bananas with milk on 4th day, and 3 chicken steaks on 5th and 6th day, and vegetables on the 7th day again..... I have heard since this diet really reduces the number of calories u consume in a day...it leads to under-eye dark circles afterwards but it really makes u lost weight upto 10lbs in only one week (ofcourse anyone wud if somebody restricted their diet so much) ... healthy way is the best way to do it... u'r right !

Got a treadmill 3 weeks back ..and now walking/jogging using interval training methodology for atleast 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. sometimes i try to aim for 45-60 mins on 2-3 of my workout days. Has helped me lose 2 kgs with lots of controlled diet in the matter of 15 days. Noone told me weight loss was supposed to be so sooooo soooooooo difficult!! i am really feeling pathetic on how much weight i put on during my pregnancy due to my veryyy bad eating habits.. at the end, even my doc had to ask me to control my weight....anyway i hope am able to eat better during my next pregnancy!! and have less suffering in this weight loss journey...right now i have to go through all this pain!!
Leaving unhealthy food is really difficult for me....unfortunately all of the Pakistani cooking requires lots of oil (which is ofcourse very tasty..remember all tasty foods r unhealthy) lolz
anyway da last fortnight was amazing in terms of weight loss for me... lets see whats in store for the rest of the month..i hope all good!!

i feel helpless, nothing z coming to my rescue, i am getting desperate to be at my goal weight before rumaisa turns 1 but i think its not possible at all so i should go easy on myself....i feel weak and down all the time and frustration is on top of the list...whatever i do, its just not dropping off ....
the good thing is i am feeling nice about my appearance ...i am quite close to what i used to be before i got pregnant (not to forget i wasnt at a perfect weight when i got pregnant, i was already 12lbs heavier than what i used to be before marriage) ahhhhhhhhhh! ! so i have to lose it all now! but slowly ofcourse....i just want to be at 130 lbs soon....may be in the next two months!
but how am i gonna do that is again a mystery....cant workout till 12th june as guests r coming over... so gotta control diet till then! afterwards ill be trying to live on a balanced daily diet with medium-intensity workouts......hope is always there!

I know you can do it...if your goal is 130 and you are at 141 then you are only 11 lbs away. Which is so close...I'm still far away from mine. Keep up the hard work and you'll make it.

Thanks Amy for ur kind support.... i really need it big time! whats the update on ur side these days?
I have started doing treadmill 4 days back and now back in spirit....hopefully results will start to show in a week or two....wont be lazy in exercise department now on....it really counts! cutting bak calories from diet only doesnt help at a certain stage when u've lost all water-weight.....

I am still in a fight with my weight. Its Ramadan month and as i am a muslim, am also observing fasts. The problem is i tend to eat alot during the early-morning breakfast and when we break the fast in the evening. Its very bad coz this holy month is meant to cleanse our system of impurities and if somebody is eating like crazy then the whole purpose dies. From the past 2 days, i have started eating very light in the morning and allow myself a little treat when we break the fast. Feeling alot better in just 2 days. Moderation is the key when it comes to eating right and weight-loss. Ramadan ends 10th or 11th sept. My aim is to just not gain weight during this month due to different routine. I'm used to having small meals every 3-4 hrs. becoz of this habit, i eat less everytime i eat something. But if am on a fast, it takes alot of courage to eat moderately at the end of the day. Have lost one pound since the month started though...
I dont see anybody else in this forum struggling with weight issues...guess may be am the only one left in this...
anyway hope to update my weight soon..

Back in action from today !! I have to lose the remaining weight.........ppl are being very appreciative of my reduced weight and i really like it. I was on a one week vacation to visit family and everybody loved the way i look. That inspires me to be at my perfect weight soon. I've been eating alot lately but thanks to all the running after rumaisa, that i've been able to maintain my weight at 138.6 lbs since last 2 months. Now i want to start with the weight-loss process once again.

So again back to:
-one 30gm bowl of cornflakes with skimmed milk as breakfast
-fruits as snacks
-kellogs snack bars
-skimmed milk (200 ml) - 2 times daily
-another 30 gm cornflakes bowl
-dinner (boiled chicken with soya sauce,vinegar salt, black pepper and white pepper) / boiled lentils / grilled chicken with garlic sauce / chicken tikka masala with no oil / labanese stuff / subway sandwiches AND no rice/bread/pasta

Good luck to me!
Its hard but i've come a long way and i know i can reach my final goal too...just need some motivation!
