Anyone making the switch yet?

I was starting Alexis about 10 days ago before her teething got bad. And I don't know if it was the switch or the teething but she was having really rough days. I switched her back to only formula and it's like a new baby. Could it be the teeth being better? Or taking her off milk?

The first couple days of adding milk to her formula she was fine, which is why I was thinking that it was the teeth that was making her miserable. But now I'm thinking that it was making her constipated, her hurting her tummy or something.

She's been having milk products since about 7-8 months so I didn't think making the switch to milk would be bad. I read that usually the switch is pretty easy if they are on milk products.

I'm not pushing the switch, but I figured if she was ready, why not? She's on mostly table foods anyway... But I guess she's not ready. We'll try again in a couple months, I guess.

Any other LO's having a hard time switching?

We aren't switching. It would be a diapering mom's nightmare if I gave them milk I made their birthday cupcakes with milk and cream in the frosting and their diapers were so nasty for days after. Poor kids. They were irritable and cranky after having the dairy and were not teething. I think their tummies enjoyed the milk about as much as their bowels did.

Landon is fully on milk and doing pretty well with it. I'd say just take the switch slowly and carefully, she'll eventually switch over. Good luck and KUP.

I dont think Sophia is ready yet..she isnt eating enough solids..so hard to get her to eat.
I might start throwing a splash or two in her formula..but no more then that right now.
She has been eating some dairy products for a few months now..and I dont know if they agree with her because her poops have been gross since the switch to formula..which was right around the intro of diary..so i dunno

Jocelyn is fine drinking it but she wont take a bottle, sippy nor cup of it. At least not enough for her. She still loves her boobie juice!

Because of Ashlyn's problems with weight gain, we are not taking her off of formula at 12 months. We meet with her doctor on Sept 9, to see what she's gained, and make an action plan.

But with my little boy, we just switched cold turkey, and it was no big thing. I'm not sure he even noticed the difference.

We've done a week with 2/3 formula and 1/3 milk and then two weeks with 2/3 milk and 1/3 formula. I think we'll be going to all milk any day now.....he hasn't shown any signs of tummy upset so far.

Bella spits it out. She won't give up the boobies, so I may resort to pumping and mixing it slowly.

I tried Owen on some milk last week and he ended up having really nasty diapers for days after. I don't know if it is his teeth causing it or the milk I gave him. I am going to give it another month and try again and see what happens

He's had some out of his brothers cup and I gave him a little in a cup yesterday. He had a couple swigs but it was a super hard top cup, I'm gonna get him a softer one, I love the gerber ones, and hopefully he'll start drinking out of it more.

He's had plenty of dairy but he's kinda small so I dunno if I'll take him off formula just yet. Not completely anyways. Maybe formula in between breakfast, lunch, and dinner and milk with his meals. He's gaining great now though, I even declined the extensive testing.

Nat is too. She's actually been stealing Tim's milk for a few months sometimes, so we slowly did the switch and she's been fine. Timmy was different though. We had to try two different times to switch but he always ended up with tummy aches and the poos. He was fully switched at 13 months. We do occasionally still give Nat a little formula b/c we have a giant can that is opened and we don't want to dump it since it costs so much. If I come across someone local who can use the formula, we give whoever it is the rest, but for now we're just using it.

Ethan turns one on Friday and I was thinking of starting the switch a day or two earlier.. not sure though cause his pooh has been pasty and gross for a few weeks now and i have no clue why. For some stupid reason i am afraid to start before 12 mso exactly.. but I dont think 3 days ahead will make a difference lol.. he is also on the light side though

I feel like such a newbie at this because when Chloe was done BF so wanted no parts of either formula or milk.

I didn't notice Alexis' poops any worse, probably because she was constipated. We'll just try again in a couple months.

It's just weird because although my girls never had allergies, they do just have reactions, I guess. Where something is just a little "off".
