For the last few months one thing that has really been bugging me is almost everyone asks "when are you going to have another?" It didn't used to annoy me much, but now that it's everyone asking.....it's getting old!!! :-/ We don't want a sibling for our son yet until we get married and decorate our house, both of which are a while off yet. I don't want to explain all that to everyone I meet Do you get asked alot?? What is you're response, and is the question getting old for you too??

All the time, and people dont understand when I say I have never wanted kids close together. My sister and I are 7 years apart and the best of friends. I didnt have Owen until I was 30, so I am not going to wait that long for a sibling, but YES...it gets old! We will start trying this time next year

Yes, which is especially annoying as a single Mom. When I explain that me and his Dad aren't together and I don't want to have 2 different dads, people don't seem to understand. Not to mention that I am 39 years old..

HEHE! I enjoyed this, thanks.

People ask me that, I usually say when we feel like the time is right. That question has stopped for now, as I am pregnant, the question that really bothers me is, "Are you hoping for a girl?"

I'm glad you ladies feel the same way! I actually had a very nosy woman say to me "don't you think your son is getting bored with just you looking after him all day and nobody else to play with?" :-/ I was too stunned to answer! The question just gets old and people should really butt their noses out. What about people who simply can't afford another baby? Do they really want to explain to everybody that money is tight as it is? For me...nope!

Wow, that is rude and uncalled for! For me, a lot of it has to do with Owen being ready to have a sibling. He is showing interest in babies but gets a little jealous if mommy pays them attention lol

We definitely were asked that a lot in the beginning, but I am now 6 months pregnant so that has stopped! Because this baby is also a girl we get asked a lot if we are going to try for a boy....NO, we are done after this!

Not really but we did just have another LO on St Patty's day.

Linds- That is so freaking rude... some people need to keep their mouths shut!

I know, I thought it was very rude of that woman to say that to me too :-/ I entertain him the best I can and so far he seems completely fine with just me. I am proud to say that

All the time. It kills me because we were actively trying for 6+ months and finally got pregnant in May only to miscarry at 8 weeks. I don't want to tell people about the loss so I just shrug it off and try to change the conversation.

Now, as a result of my miscarraige, they have diagnosed me with hyperthyrodisim and I have to deal with that before we can even think about trying again. I probably can't start trying again for a full year.

I haven't really had that happen too me. I think you should think of something witty to say back that shocks them so they shut their mouth! Its just such a rude question to ask someone unless you are very close to them.

I don't get that much, in fact usually people look at me like I am crazy when I say that Katie will be 2 roughly five weeks after I celebrate the big 4-0. . . yeah, I know, I am ancient.

Jenn, I am so sorry you are dealing with that! I hope it all works out for you in the end *hugs* <3

Yes ladies I agree with what some of you said, I need a witty comeback that will stun those who ask just as much as they shock me! My mind is trying to come up with something short and to the point and so far I'm drawing a blank
