Hands and Feet Turkey
Here's what you'll need...
•Paper
• Paint
• Paint brush (optional)
• Brown construction paper
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Glue or tape
• Paper plate or shallow dish
Here's how you make it...
1. Pour some fall colored paint into a paper plate or shallow dish. Try just using red and yellow paint, when the colors mix they will make a nice fall orange color. Either dip their hands in the paint or brush the paint on, and then press onto paper in a fan shape.
2. While you're waiting for the paint to dry, trace their foot on brown construction paper and cut out your turkey's eyes and beak. 3. When your paint is dry glue on your turkey's body. Draw on some legs with a marker if you want!

Pumpkin Cookies
RECIPE
- 1 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbs. vanilla
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
*NOTE*
You can use all-purpose flour if you want. You can substitute pumpkin spice for nutmeg & cloves. Used 1/4 tsp or you can just leave it out together.
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Combine pumpkin, sugar, applesauce, egg and vanilla and mix well (we’ll call this the WET mixture)
3. Combine by whisking: flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt in a separate bowl (aka DRY mixture)
4.Dissolve baking soda in milk, then add to WET mixture
5. Gradually add DRY mixture to WET and mix until just combined
6. Fold in chocolate chips
7. Grease cookie sheet and use an ice cream scoop to measure out
8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until they no longer look wet
9. Let sit on pan for 2 minutes then remove to a wire rack to cool
*Once you put these in a tupperware, they get kind of sticky. So, I make them in small batches (refrigerating the leftover dough) and just leave them out until they are eaten.
Submit your little ones funny pic here!
IF I missed anything that you would like added, please let me know!!!
