So I thought we were doing okay with DST here. The first day went fine and everyone slept until the clock showed it was time to get up. But this morning Matthew was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 5am. Ugh!
How are your LO's handling the change? (Or you!)

My kids are pretty good. Bella's sleeping till I wake her, but Jace is getting up a bit too early. Good thing is he doesn't wake me up My bladder hasn't gotten the memo though, every day at now 6am, it's screaming at me

Does DST happen all over Canada or are their weirdos (I mean smart people) who have opted out like Arizona here in the US?

Oh yes, Saskatchewan are the weirdos in our country, for more than just not adhering to DST HAHAHAHAHA "Banjo pickin' inbreds" is how they were once referred to. I kid, I kid...my Dad lives there, I don't hold it against him. Much.

haha, Love that picture Beth, so true!!
Eh... they are back to the normal 7-7:30 wake up. They weren't getting up until 8:30-9 once summer was over and it was darker longer in the morning. I was really enjoying it. But 7:30 is far better than 5! So I'll take it! Plus, naps are back in full swing since they get up earlier, wahoo!

Shoot! I forgot about naps! I probably should have already put Matthew down for his nap to adjust for the time change!

I hate it! I don't stand why we need to change it really. I always thought it was dumb!
I hate eating at 6:30 pm and it's dark out.
I think Jocy has adjusted because today she woke up at the same everyday. Daniel stil waking up early. Im still waking up at 5:45 instead of 6:45 am.

its been so awful. DST hit at the same time as a nasty cold, so not only am I up 4+ times through the night (2 hrs straight Monday night), but then they get up between 5:30am and 6:30am. "Normal" wake up time was usually about 6:45am so I think we are inching closer to it.
Me and DH are sick now too and this combination of no sleep, cranky kids and cranky parents is just no fun!

Why in the world is it still around? It's one law that has long out-lived its value, if it ever had any!

My bladder still thinks it's spring/summer.

This is the first time we've ever had issues. My already non-sleeping children are getting an hour less every night and still refusing to nap. Things are not going so well around here this week They go to bed just fine at the same time they used to (7:00) but are waking an hour earlier. I wouldn't mind if they weren't so cranky.

I must be one of the lucky ones. My girls adjusted very easily.
