Who's doing it and how in the world do you ever get started?

I am technically a member, but have no idea where to go from there.

I do it and love it, but I'm not overboard on it. I will sometimes look through other people's posts, but usually only pin things that I've found online or know that I'll use. I don't get the people who have thousands of things pinned.

I use it for crafts for the kids and recipes. I've found some great recipes through people I know that cook like I do...from scratch. It's great to look at their recipes and find some new things. I've also found some great crafts for the kids from PR friends or other people I know who have kids around the same age.

I'm sure I could also find lots of sewing projects and other things on there, but I haven't been on the computer much lately and haven't had much extra time to work on projects. I don't want to search things out and then not make them.

It seems like I saw a search bar once on Pinterest and now I can't find it at all.

Maybe it's backwards to search on there since the whole point is to save your searches??? I keep looking for buttons that don't exist.

I think I'm one of those that goes over board! I just Love it so much! There are so many great ideas and inspirations it just boggles my little mind! LOL Since it is Holiday Time I've been looking for Decoration Ideas Stuff to do with the kids, But I also pin stuff I'd like to use down the road. I think I'm kinda addicted! LOL

I love, love, love Pinterest!! I'm definitely one of those that pins thousands! (1600+). I just hate it when I see something I like, not pin it then wish I had, then I go crazy tiring to find it. And believe it or not, I've actually done quite a few projects because of it. We have such a variety with our menu now. I'm sewing in ways I never thought I could... repurposing and saving money. Cheap decor ideas, the list is endless.

I used to just save pictures, but this is so much more practical. I recommend to just get used to it, give it time, and you'll be a pinner in no time. I can really see you loving it.

And really it is as addicting or time consuming as some people make it out to be. It is the first little bit because it's new. But really I could only get on 1/2 a day to every couple days and be good. Definitely not the addiction facebook gives. Plus, it's perfect if you just want to sit down and relax or if your in a rush and need to find a how-to or a recipe.

I'm using it and love it! I pin mostly recipes and when I try them they go to the "tried it" folder

I'm also using it for holidays, baby planning, crafts I wanna do, quotes I like, and snack ideas for Abbey. It saves me a lot of room on my HD from saved pics and stuff.

A couple of the people I'm following (not from here) are overwhelming me with their 100+ posts a day. It's a bit much!

eta: seriously, no one annoying me is from here! One friend I have posts at LEASt 100 pins a day of just quotes

I guess I'm not much of a collector of things. I just go to allrecipes.com if I want a recipe, or google it. And I save links on my favourites list on IE. Now google...I *am* a goole nut, I do use that a million times/day lol

^Thats how I am. I love google and if I need a recipe, I look at it in Allrecipes.com too. lol

But I would to join pinterest. So how do i get started?

This is so inspiring!!! It didn't know you could pin more than pictures, per say. (Just goes to show how little I know!)
