A while ago I posted about my worries on the development of my daughter.
While these days, I have difficulty singing with her because she prefers to talk so much ( she still does not have more than 70 words, but seems to learn more words every day and so fast right now).
I was wondering: one of her favorite former activities was building towers of blocks. Then when she stacked 15 -16 blocks several months ago, she suddenly lost complete interest in stacking. I wondered if she realized that stacking more than say 15-16 blocks ( her blocks were a little less than 1.5 inches in size) was more a physics problem and had nothing to do with her ability. I wonder that they can make such estimations at that age. But I have no other explanation why she lost interest at exactly the point when there seems to be a physics-mechanical limit in stacking more blocks.
So I mean I would not be able to stack much more than 16 blocks, too.
It looks as if she now focusses on speech.

She also started singing children's songs and nursery rhymes with me. Then I tried to sing her favorite song ( bumblebee) during speech therapy. Since that day she refused to sing that song.
In general I am glad that I can ask our speech therapist for parenting advice, because my daughter is very strong-headed. I mean she sees her behavior. That's different from telling people on the internet, for example.

I think your daughter sounds very normal. My daughter talks/sings a lot and will switch favorite songs regularly. She does the same with toys and videos. For a couple of months all she wanted to watch was Curious George. Now, she wants nothing to do with that. She also used to love the song Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star...but now she refuses to sing that. I think they are just expressing their independence.

As far as toys are concerned we keep a limited number of toys in the living room and put the rest in tubs in the garage and then swap them out. She seems to like that. So maybe try putting the blocks away for awhile and then bring them out again and see if she has any interest.
