How many has your LO had?

Any this year?

Do you take them to the doctor right away, or see if it goes away on its own?

John has not had any ear infections but his older sister had one and the pain in her ear was so bad that we took he to the doctors right away.

Levi has had probably 6 or 7..... (4 in one year when he was 1) and maybe 2 in the last 2 years....

He currently has double ear infections (on top of bronchitis and all the other crud he's been fighting....) we ended up in the ER yesterday because he was all out of sorts and not getting any better even tho he has been on antibiotics since friday...they switched his anti biotic and he is finally slowly improving

We take them in right away.....I get BAD ear infections and have had my ear drum rupture a couple times due to not treating them and it's far more pain than I want them to go thru (aside from the risk of scar tissue/hearing loss) sooo we take them in right away

How many has your LO had? way too many to count....

Any this year? She hasn't had any since she had her ear tubes places a year and a half aho

Do you take them to the doctor right away, or see if it goes away on its own?
I took her right away... Since I knew what it was and that it wasn't going to get any better without medication. Actually, the last one she had they could NOT get rid of... no matter what antibiotic they tried. She had her tubes placed with an active ear infection and *knock on wood* she hasn't had one since!

Two total. One before tubes and one after. None in the last year. Though we can't get past sinus infections. His ears will get a little red but not infected.

Our next step is adenoids
