Who else's LO has a training wheels bike?

Our nanny actually bought one for Charlie for his birthday. (We hadn't expected her to get him anything, so the fact that she got him such a big gift was a huge surprise!) Anyway, at first Charlie couldn't figure out what to do with it, but now he LOVES it. He'll ride it all around our neighborhood, no problems. He knows how to steer and everything. And he loves to ding the little bell. It kind of surprised me, because he never even really figured out how to ride a tricycle (he would always just push them), but this bigger bike he's really taken to. It's cute to watch.

What about the rest of you?

Payton got one for Christmas. she loves it!! The only issue we had to work through was her remembering not to pedal backwards. She used to go forward and backwards on her tricycle... and on the bike, backwards is the break.

Erin has one, but Patrick doesn't. When things thaw out, maybe I'll try him on Sister's.

Cute pic of Payton! WTG Charlie!

We have bikes for Z and J, but no training wheels for them. We'll have to pick some up when spring comes.

Since we have a balance bike for him, he won't be getting a bike with training wheels....the idea being that once he has the balance thing figured out and is old enough for a real bike he should be able to learn it pretty quickly.

Up to now he only rides his bike sporadically...he likes it, but has yet to spend tons of time on it. Late last summer he started to show more interest, so maybe this spring/summer he will ride it more.
