I probably shouldn't worry but I just want to make sure everything is okay and fish around for anyone else's take on my little bean...I just had my first appointment today and got an u/s. The yolk sac was clearly there and everything looked good but there was no heartbeat. The doctor said it was no problem since I was not 6 weeks yet (got a positive on my OPT on 5/26 & 5/27 so that would put me at 5.3 -5.5 weeks...???). I have a follow-up u/s scheduled on 7/11 so by then, we should see the heart beat. I know I shouldn't worry and my husband thinks I'm crazy for doing so but I can't help it. I love my little bean and I just want he/she to stick. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

My doctor couldn't see the HB at that age either, I have heard of a few women who saw the HB that early, but the vast majority only saw a yolk at that age.

Try not to worry. I went in at 5w, 5d and we saw the gestational sac, yolk sac and the very beginnings of a fetal pole. When I went in a week later at 6w, 6d...we saw a nice hb and the bub had grown to .8cm.

Don`t worry, Every baby and every mom develops a bit differently. If your doc wasn`t worried then neither should you be. KUP

I do the same thing you do. but I also have IBS and I'm scared to death that stress will harm the baby.

To the OP. try not to worry too much and relax but just know we all worry about our little ones
