I can't believe I haven't gotten around to doing this yet. I'll try to recall as much info from the first 11 weeks as I can.
First, I'm Sarah (26) and my dh is Benny (30). We have been married 8 1/2 years and we have three children. We were done having children, but I cannot use any type of birth control with hormones, nor can I use an IUD. We also can't afford any permanent options at this time. That left us with good old reliable (not) condoms. Eh, they served us well for 3 years.
Anyway, one evening we had a little accident and I just knew we got pregnant. DH kept telling me that "We weren't trying so we won't get pregnant." I started taking pregnancy tests at 8 dpo, and got my first bfp at 10 dpo which was April 27th. I took another test on the 29th, which was a bfp also. My period was due on April 30th and I had some bleeding that day. I totally freaked out, and it was then that I realized that although this was an unexpected pregnancy, I already desperately wanted the baby. I had my hcg levels drawn that day and again on May 2nd. They were increasing fine and no more bleeding after the 30th, so no worries! Between that time and June 23rd, I struggled with getting medical coverage from the state. I finally got it, which is a huge relief.
I have had one doctors appointment. The front office didn't want to let me come, but I had a yeast infection so they let me go. They said that I wouldn't be able to get any OB stuff done. However, when I got there the doctor said he didn't see any reason to make me do "this" (meaning the whole speculum business) twice when he could go ahead and do the full pap right then. Speaking of which, I'm still waiting on those results which is a little scary. I had one abnormal pap over 7 years ago, followed by biopsies of my cervix which were negative. Every time I have a pap I am so worried until I get back good news on the results. When I was at the doctor's office, he said he thought my uterus was a little big for how far along I was. I don't think he believed me that I KNOW when I got pregnant, so he tried to hear the baby's heartbeat. (This was at 9 weeks.) He couldn't find it though, which isn't surprising.
I started having nausea and extreme fatigue around 7 weeks or so. Now, at 11 weeks, it's starting to let up a bit. I'm really happy about that! My next appointment is on July 1st. I can't wait!
I had another doctors appointment today at 12 weeks 3 days. The baby's heartbeat is 164 bpm and we did an ultrsound because my uterus is bigger than it should be. The doctor thought there might be twins, but nope! Just one baby! I will schedule my next appointment for 4 weeks.
I have to wait unto week 24 for my big ultrasound. I can't wait to find out the gender of the baby; it's driving me crazy!
I had another doctor's appointment today at 16 weeks 3 days. I can't believe I'll be halfway done at my next appointment. With school coming up and all the preparation to be done with that, I'm hoping it will fly by!
Anyway, my weight is up to 128, which is 4 1/2 pounds more than last month, and 11 pound more than my pregnancy weight. Heartbeat was 152 this time. My uterus isn't growing at fast as it was, and it's now the size it should be, so that's a relief.
I'm feeling fine, more energy, no nausea, so that's good. I'm starting to get a belly on me though; I guess since this is my 4th pregnancy. There is NO mistaking that I'm pregnant!!
My pap smear and blood results came back fine. (The blood test that tests for stds, your blood type and antigens.) I'm O+, by the way.

Great OB appointment today! My BP is good, baby's heartrate is 153 and my uterus is still the size it should be. We scheduled my U/S for September 18th. My OB does them in the office, so that's exciting. I prefer it that way, because if there is something to be concerned about, you find out right away. I'm still feeling good so far; but my belly is getting pretty big. (Or at least it feels like it!)
ETA. I almost forgot to add that my weight was at 134. I gained 6 pounds in the last month. OOPS!

I guess I'll update on my last appointment. I think everyone already knows we're expecting another boy. Other than that, I gained 2 pounds, my blood pressure was perfect, and baby's heartrate was 147 BPM. They forgot to have me give a urine sample, but I'm sure it's fine. I will do my sugar test next time I go.
I have forgotten to update my journal in a long time! I went to my doctor appointment today at 36 wks 3 days. I weighed in at 150 lbs, same as my last appointment 2 weeks ago! Everything was great and I'll go back in 1 week.
