I've found conflicting information on the internet about whether or not nail polish is safe, especially during the first trimester. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks for any advice you can give me! My toes are looking pretty awful right now!

As long as you are in a vented area and not sniffing it, it is ok. I did my nails all the time when I was pregnant with my son and my doctor told me that's fine.

I agree... I gave myself a pedi just the other day... just make sure you are in a ventilated area.

I agree too. As long as its in a ventilated area you should be fine. I did my nails during my 1st pregnancy and he was okay.

I'm so bad...I told DH that I wasn't supposed to paint my toenails and that hunching over was bad for the baby.....so he painted my toenails for me. Hehehe. He didn't do a half bad job either, I figure he has gotta learn eventually for when I can't see my feet.

Nailpolish is just fine.

Heather--I always have dh do my toes towards the end when I can't see/reach my feet anymore! He also will shave my legs for me!

Hahaha...I have this really irrational fear of falling in the shower while pregnant. I mean I am terrified of the idea, so I told DH that at a certain point I will either just have to sit in the shower or we will have to get a chair or he will have to sit on the edge while I shower to catch me if I fall. Then I made him swear that he would help me shave. My poor DH, haha.

nailpolish is just fine, but OMG I dont think I could get dh to paint my nails within 100 years LOL. I'll have to try that one on him!

When it comes to conflicting info, I err on the side of caution. My vote is no nail polish until 2nd trimester, same as hair dye!
