So I didn't ovulate this cycle until CD18 or 19. If I go according to my ovulation, I am due around April 4th. If I go by my first day of my last period I am due March 31st.

I know the docs go by your last period, but I know that will throw off my EDD. Should I lie so I can keep April 4th?

I know a few days is all relative especially once you get further along, but I still want it to be as accurate as it can be and I would hate to have to leave and go to the March Due Date board.

I don't think you will have to lie. Just tell the MD when you ovulated and then at your 1st ultrasound won't they be able to tell how far along you are by how big the baby is?

I was wondering the same thing! My LMP EDD is 4/3 but I ovulated on CD17 so by that my EDD is 4/5. I'm averaging and saying 4/4 If you get a dating scan your Dr. will likely go by that. When you make your first appointment though just tell them when your LMP was.

And March 31st is close enough to April - we won't kick you out!

You ladies aren't going anywhere!!! I don't care if you find out you're due March 1st!!! You are on the April board, and that's it!! lol!!!

As far as lying, no need. Once you get your first u/s you'll get an EDD based on the baby's measurements. And you don't need to lie to us, either. Like "Mylene169" said, we won't kick you out! lol! Besides, I'm sure we could really use each other's support! I know we share some of the same concerns, with our boys and the challenges ahead. So please stick around, regardless of you EDD?

Lurking, but I just told my DR I was charting and he adjusted my EDD accordingly. Congrats!

I was going to suggest the same thing. If you were charting, take your chart in and show it to your DR. That should resolve the problem.
