So I finally called my OB to make my first appointment today. And what do they try to tell me? They aren't taking new patients! I'm not a new patient! I was about to get angry when the receptionist put me on hold (for the 3rd time...) to ask the Dr. if it was okay to book me. Luckily he said it was! It's a small practice - 1 Dr., 1 nurse and 1 receptionist. They all speak Spanish and take a lot of lower income patients. I'm neither of those things and that's fine. But I really like this Dr. and the fact that it is a small practice. I didn't want to find a new Dr. So, I got my appointment all set for Aug. 11th! She just could have made me feel a little less put out, KWIM?

Yeah I get you on the whole "feeling put out"! Pretty sure that was the receptionist, rather than the doc. They probably get a lot of calls with women who want appts. and then give the receptionist a hard time cause she turns them away. I'm glad it was straightened out though! Congrats on your first appt!!! Does your doc do u/s at the first appt.?

I'm sorry. I hate it when they don't understand what you want! Glad you got it fixed though.

I’m so glad that it worked out okay. I had that problem with a family DR. Can’t wait for pics from your appointment.
