My one friend said she doused herself in cocoa butter all the time to prevent stretch marks, and she actually didn't have much when her DD was born.

I know they are hereditary. But when should I start putting lotion on my stomach/breasts/thighs?

I use non-cocoa butter lotion now. It smells better than the cocoa butter--more summery.

I started using it from the very beginning when I was preggo with Daniel, and I have barely any stretchmarks.

My mom had stretch marks, and I never got them on my stomach. I do have a few on my bb's and hips. So I'm not sure about the hereditary part. But I do believe some women are just more prone to them.

I never used cocoa butter. I used any good quality lotion or oils that I could get my hands on. And I used them all day long. The more you make sure your stomach isn't dry, the better your chances. (Something about helping with the elasticity of your skin, blah, blah, blah)... just lube up!
