I don't think I'll be reading any this time around either. I do like to read magazines and respected websites, about pregnancy, and babies, to keep up with the latest info and products.

Since this is my first I have no idea what it going on--up until yesterday I didn't know that certain salad dressings are bad.
So I bought The Pregnancy Bible and (this is my fav) "The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy"--it's about a bunch of women who are girlfriends and they wrote this book about THEIR experiences (not what doctors tell you, so matter of fact).
I'm a worry wart (bet ya couldn't tell, huh), and my therapist told me not to read the "What to Expect" book b/c it will cause me to go into an anixety attack b/c it has all this crazy scary "things that could happen".
I also think once my pg is official, I will subscribe to Parents magazine...I like that mag.
I have the Pregnancy Bible (my personal fav.) and What to Expect from previous pregnancies....
And, I must admit. As soon as I get home from work, I am going to get them out of storage and start reading them
I love the Girlfriends guide to pregnancy too! And I have What to expect also. I'm going to go book hunting again soon because I basically had all the ''trying to conceive'' type books, now I've got to get the pregnancy books going!
I read What to Expect book. Iím not sure if Iíll read it again. It helped out with my first. Now that I know what to expect and how things go Iím thinking Iím not going to read it. I find it more helpful buy going online to websites and talking on places like JM.
For those ladies that are worriers, I would NOT read what to expect. It's like a dictionary of any wierd random thing that could happen. I tell all my newly pg friends to just use it like a dictionary and look up things that they are concerned about at the time.
I read the girlfriend's guide with my first and a few others. I probably will re-read the "thinking woman's guide to a better birth" and maybe some other NCB books! I'm kinda obsessed with that!
