Okay...about three weeks ago, my DH was on Lunch when he got into a car accident. We actually work together so he called me like right after and I came to get him. It was not his fault, a young driver was texting- He was completely stopped behind a line of 6 cars when she rammed into the back of him going like 45MPH- pushing him into the stopped car in front of him. A Mess!!! and his car was declared a total loss. Well, he refused the ambulance ride- but I took him to the ER as I wanted him to get checked. Well they did xrays- everything came back ok. Just a bad case of whiplash. Thank goodness!
Anyways- we were talking last night about the xrays- and around this time was probably the time I concieved. He said that for most of the xrays he was covered but there were a few that she did not cover him (down there). Last night I tried to look up any infomation on this and I couldnt find anything. I guess I am just worried. We might of concieved before the accident - I was not charting or anything so I am not sure....
I know the dentist always covers you for xrays... Should I be worried??? ? ? ? ?
There is no reason to be worried! If the x-ray had done harm to any of his sperm, they wouldn't have been able to fertilize. Not that bad sperm can't, but I believe the thought on x-rays is that they kill.
I would not be worried about that - it's really only a concern if you're pregnant and in an x-ray. Even then, it's not horrible. I have a friend who is a pediatric resident and she is pregnant and had been giving x-rays to kids in the hospital before finding out she was pregnant. Her doc even said she's just fine.
It is normal to worry, but I'm sure baby is fine. Glad to hear DH didn't get injured badly!
