Well today I'm 7 weeks even. The exhaustion has made itself known. I have actually gone to bed before Grant did this week.
We just came back from Dallas for SIL's wedding and that was so much fun, but soooooo exhausting. I got a UTI the day of the wedding and I'm still trying to recover from that. I've been spotting since Friday, but that could be related to the UTI or DTD. I've also been horribly constipated, so straining for a BM can cause spotting too. I forgot how much fun early pregnancy is.
Morning sickness kicked in about a week and a half ago while we were in Iowa. It's in full force most of the day now. I cannot really eat meat! We had pork chops last night and I couldn't eat it. We had chicken at the wedding and I couldn't eat that either. That's very unusual for me. I have been so sick, it's been really hard to eat.
I was 153.0 pounds when I started this pregnancy, and as of yesterday, I'm 149.2. I've lost almost 4 pounds in as many weeks. Hopefully this will not continue. I've got a chocolate chip bagel that might help with that.
I had my first appt on 8/4 and Dr. Sullivant set me up for an u/s next visit. He told me that he would put me on disability starting at 12 weeks, but I think if I tell him about the spotting, he'll put me on it earlier. We shall see at my next appt.
Everyone that knows we're pregnant has said they think it's a girl this time. I don't really have strong feelings either way. With Grant, I knew he was a boy. With Luke, I really thought he was a girl. With Dean, I knew he was going to be a boy too, but mostly from a pessimistic "I'm never going to get my girl" attitude. This time I don't have that. We didn't really do much to sway, other than I was monitoring my pH and trying to avoid certain things. We DTD 0-2 days before ovulation, but mostly because I had thought I had already ovulated. I just want this baby to be healthy and I try not to put too much stock into what people say because I really don't want to be disappointed if it's another boy. I love my boys!
