So far my husband and I really like the name Adeline if we have a girl. (Pronounced like Madeline but without the M). But I've been trying to decide what middle name goes best. (Our last name is Larson). So here are my top choices.
Adeline Grace
Adeline Hope
Adeline Noelle
Adeline Claire
Adeline Joy
What do you like best? Or do you have another mn suggestion?

It's a pretty name...my co-worker actually just had a baby about 4 weeks ago and her name is Adeline (not too sure how they spell it though).
I like Adeline Grace or Adeline Noelle. IMO, the middle names on those just seem to flow more so than the other options.

I love Noelle!! I think Grace is really pretty too, but I am just not as fond of it because I teach preschool and see that middle name ALL the time! It's like the new Anne or Lynn or Marie! (My middle name is Anne!)

That was my top pick for first name but my DH didn't think it went well with our last name. So we have decided on Lillian (Lily).
I love Noelle as the middle name!

I love Claire. Coming from the South, it seems like every girl's first or middle name is Grace.

Just out of curiosity, I'm still not clear on pronunciation. Will the last syllable have a long "i" sound or a short "i" sound. Madeline can be pronounced both ways with that spelling, so I just want to be sure. It's beautiful either way, but I LOVE the long "i" sound-pronunciation.
I love all your choices with maybe Adeline Hope being my favorite combo. I think Grace is pretty, but I agree with a pp that it's becoming an awfully common middle name.

Thanks y'all.
Lauren, in answer to your question, I think it can go either way, but I like the long "i" way. There are also a number of different spellings.
Sunny in answer to your question, I think we'd use Addy as a nickname. I'm really into name meanings. Adeline means noble or kind. I found out that Adah which is another possible nickname means beautiful addition and I just love that.
I've always loved Grace, but I tend to agree that it may be getting too popular now. I think Noelle really flows well. Claire I'm a little partial to because its my maiden name, but I don't think it flows quite as nicely. And I think Hope is such a pretty name. So as you can see....I'm torn. :-) Either way though, I think we have some good options.
I also love the old, old song, (I can hear my grandmother singing it) "Adeline, sweet Adeline, For you I pine; In all my dreams, Your fair face beams. You're the flower of my heart, Sweet Adeline." One of those old timey songs that she used to sing along with "I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck."

Yay for the pronunciation I like! I think it's so sweet that it is inspired in some way by that sweet memory of your grandmother singing that song. And you're right - any way you go on the middle name will work great. Good choices.
