So I went to my Dr today and got another blood test just to make sure everything is ok with Jellybean. (can you tell I am a first time mom who has experienced a loss or what) While i was there I asked for my HGH levels from last week even though they told me they doubled. My first one (around 16 DPO) was 274 and the second one (18 DPO) was around 470 something (I couldnt quite make out what the woman said) So they didnt exactly double but they went up and are close to doubling which is why I am sure my Dr said they did double. Is this ok? I know doubling is just an estimate thing but I guess I just need to hear that from other people.

As for the spotting Ive stopped drinking tomato juice and havent seen the pink stuff since last night at 2 AM. I will see what happens today with no tomato jucie and tomorrow with tomato jucie and well see if we can get to the bottom of this once and for all.

Today to ease my mind a little I tested on one of my leftover OPKs.

Laslty today like a dork I am a slipped on my kitchen floor and PJ pants and fell down on my side. It didnt even hurt so much as stun me as I was dashing around and all of a sudden ended up sideways on the ground. Im sure the baby is ok since my tummy didnt even touch the ground and Im fine, no bruise, no pain but just need some reasuring words that Im not the first pregnant woman to be clutzy and fall down.

Thanks for listening. I love boards like this where people can understand why I feel the way I do.

My first and second HCG tests did not double but increased. The next two I had continued to go up and the nurse said that was fine. As long as it is going up then everything is going correctly!

I really don't know about #s I have never had betas done before so while I know they are supposed to double and all that I haven't a clue about the specifics, sorry. as far as falling I wouldn't worry too much about it, baby bean is well protected in there, I have a toddler at home and as much as I try to protect my belly from her she still manages to hit, kick or fall on me daily it just seems to happen. Many HUGS to you I hope all is well! KUP!

I have some OPKs..how do you test with them>

As for being clutzy. That is part of pregnancy I believe.. If it makes you feel any better, we lived in a townhouse when I was pregnany with my first child and I was around 14 weeks and i physicaly FELL down the last 4 steps...

With my daughter, When i was 5 months, I slipped and fell right into one of those wooden high chairs at restarants and hit my stomach..It scared me to bad I called right then and make an appt to get an ultrasound to have it checked out... Everything was fine!!!!

Good Luck

Below is my weightloss ticker. This is not for the pregnancy weight to come off as it has pretty much all came off. The rest of it is just what I've been wanting to loose for a while now to get back to my healthier weight!

I know that doubling can take from around 2-3 days, just remember every pregnancy is different, and so is the doubling time. And no you aren't the only one to fall pregnant. Remember your baby is very well cushioned and safe inside of you. I fell a couple of times with my last dd I conceived in Dec. and there was a ton of ice that year. When I fell, I fell pretty hard once with 1st dd in my arms and she fell on me. Second dd is now a happy health two year old.
The first trimester is so scary.

I just peed on them like I would a regular HPT. I was so happy to see the line come up so dark and before the control line. I had to double check to make sure I knew which was the control because I have never had a line so dark before. Still I cant say it didnt make me happy to see that.

When you test with opk remember same rules apply, the line needs to be as dark or darker than the test line. In my experience the contrast line is getting lighter, and the test line is getting super dark as the pink is moving across the stick. I have used different brands and it is holding true for all of them so far.

By contrast line you mean control right? Control is always on the right side right? In my case I feel like it happened exactly as you described. The test line was first and very dark and the control came in slower and is much lighter. At first I was worried the control wasn't coming at all but it faintly showed later on but nothing compared to the test line.

I hear you on the worrying thing. I put your numbers into JM's hcg Calculator - HCG Calculator: Calculate beta hCG doubling time and got a doubling time of 2.6 days so that is good. They should be doubling every 2-3 days. I have yet to get a positive OPK over here myself. Please KUP on today's numbers. It's hard not to worry.
