With my last pregnancies I had great insurance and only paid about $300 bucks for my entire pregnancy and labor and delivery. This time around I have horrible insurance and am paying...
$1400.00 (estimated) to my OBGYN and that doesn't include lab work and ultrasounds that my dumb insurance won't pay. So that breaks down to about $200 a month until my baby is born in March. It's not an easy check to cut and I am curious if you girls are in the same boat?
So far I have paid nothing but co-pays. They actually always tell me no co-pay but then the insurance bills me for it. lol Starting at 28 wks they will be administering the NST and a cervix check once a week so we will see if the insurance continues to cover everything 100%
With my son, DH was in the Navy so we paid $0. Thankfully since I spent 5 days in the hospital before he was born and then he was premature and also re-admitted for jaundice.
I have state insurance this time and do not have to pay any dr or hospital fees OOP, if I have a boy and choose to circumcize, the insurance does not cover that unless it's medically necessary, so that would be OOP. For Eli's, it cost $400. Other than that, my OB is very kind. The insurance pays for the one u/s at 20 weeks only, so any other u/s that have already been done, were "under the table" and not billed.
My first pg (with this same OB but he didn't accept state insurance. So I had to pay his fees, I think $650. I paid about $80 at each check-up until I had paid it all. Then the hospital accepted my state insurance for all tests, u/s, and the delivery and hosp stay of course.

My husband is a Army Reservist so we don't get insurance through the military. We were hoping to go AGR but haven't gotten a position that makes my husband happy, so we are still waiting. He tried to go Active back in Aug and then again in about Jan-Feb, but were told that he couldn't move out of the Reserves at that time...or that his current unit would release him... ugh.
Anyway...I only paid 1 co-pay with my other three pregnancies which was $35..then I didn't pay a penny until after delivery. It was GREAT insurance! I can't understand why my husband company switched to the idiots we have now!

I wish I didn't have to pay anything!!! LUCKY GIRL!!
I'm on DH's insurance, and he works at a VERY family friendly business, so their insurance is so great. Its Blue Cross though - I've had that my entire life in NC and now here in NY, and it has always been good insurance to me.
I pay a percentage of my blood work and ultrasounds. The most I paid for blood work was with my loss - I had the cystic fibrosis testing done and they didn't cover much of that. I think that plus the normal pregnancy testing was $170.
Each ultrasound costs around $20. I've also paid about $8 for each round of blood work this time (quad screen & normal pregnancy blood work).
My visit to the midwife is considered one long visit, so I only pay either $20 or $35 when I'm done with my pregnancy.
I also have a $500 deductible and once I reach that limit, I don't pay a cent more. Unfortunately, the year starts over in January.......and I'm at like $300 right now so I will have to pay $500 instead of just $200 when labor comes around. I'm not sure if circumcision is covered or not, will have to find out about that.
We don't pay anything upfront. We have medical but it's payed monthly and it depends on what you make. We payed 100 bucks a month and now that dh is layed off we pay nothing and i still get to see the doctors when ever i want.
This is awful but I have no clue! I have blue care network so I think my coverage is pretty dang good....what ever ends up in bills will sadly be put in with the rest of our bills we are doing a bankruptcy on next spring
I have United Health Care insurance and payed a one time $20 co-pay for all of my pre-natal visits. I think we paid around $50 for the NT ultra sound. Our anatomy ultra sound is on Oct. 30, and I am not sure how much that costs.
The hospital will cost $750.
Aside from visits, I am paying $7 for 12 generic zofran pills at a time. I have been taking one a day.
Aside from all that, I don't want to leave out the monthly premium deducted from my check. Can't forget that!
I pay, nothing. DS cost $17k to deliver (5 days in hossy, c/s, complications...) and we didnt pay a cent. No copays, no percentages...no u/s fees.
That's what I was freaking if I lost my job we'd have to go to a lesser plan and pay out the @ss. I am glad I have my job NOW even if I lose it in the next 2 months I will have the same layoff benefits til June/July!

In Canada we have (Ontario that is) OHIP- which means: Ontario Health Insurance Planbut other areas have similar to it.
If I want another ultrasound i'd have to pay for it.
Hospital stay it's not all covered... will have to throw some money out there then.
But so far we've not paid a dime. We also have insurance (Health) etc... so unsure what that covers in terms of birthing, would have to get dh to look into it.

Im on state insurance and dont have to pay anything!....because im so high risk they said its better to do it this way than thru reg insurance. i would have to pay out the wahoo if i didnt
I'm covered through work and DH's union so we've paid nothing out of pocket other than what comes our of our checks for our insurance. Not sure how much that is combined monthly.
My Insurance now pays 100% for everything pregnancy related but my work is switching at the end of this month. I also have DH's insurance so hopefully we wont have to pay much!

insane. Alberta Health Care is free so everything that has to do with going to the dr, hospital, medical procedures are covered, DH's benefits from his union his dues are about 100$ a month but they cover everything 90% basically for extra things other then medical, like prescriptions, dental, chiro, eyes, feet... etc. So we wont have to pay for anything.

I have private insurance but not maternity. We are paying OOP for everything. Since we are paying cash we got a discount for my OB of $2000 for prenatal and labor and delivery and 6 week check-up. The hospital gave us a 20% discount and we are paying $4800 for a 3 day stay for L&D and any thing baby needs. I had to pay $175 for lab work and we are also paying separate for ultrasounds. Our 20 week scan will cost us $200, I think. Discount since we are paying cash. So we are paying around $7200 for everything.
I pay $200 a month for my visits like you. My total delivery cost is $3700, and I pay separate for blood work and ultrasounds.
I am trying to get on medicaid (it's hard to even go down to the social services office since DB takes the car to work everyday) so these costs go down. I don't want to have to be stuck with an enormous hospital bill later
I consider myself lucky. DH has great insurance and I only have to pay $20 for everything...that is one $20 co-pay to determine that I am p/g and after that, everything is covered at 100%...all blood work, all necessary u/s's (I had quite a few with DD and they were all covered), l&d, hospital, etc.
