So I had preterm labor issues with my last baby, but not until about 32 weeks. A lot of it felt like period cramps. This morning my lower back hurts, and I feel like I'm having period cramps, but it's more constant than anything. I hate to put a call into my dr for nothing, since it's Sunday, but what do you think?

I'd call in...that's what he makes the big bucks for. If anything he would tell you to head down to L&D to get monitored.

Have you tried drinking several glasses of water to see if that helps?

Nope, haven't had anything to drink today. I'll do that now and see if it helps.

I would definitely call. Like Heather said, that's what he gets paid for.

Hmm well I felt like that too.. but yours doesn't seem as bad as mine.

I've have some terrible pain unlike any other. In my lower abdomen, in my side, and lower back. I could barley get up and walk. All i wanted to do was throw up and cry all night , and get this kid out of my body. lol

So I went to find out what it was, but they couldn't really help. My uterus is expanding too fast and my muscles and ligaments have to stretch too fast to support it... My baby is like 1 and a half to 2 weeks ahead in development as far as size goes, so I guess that makes sense. They told me to take Tylenol and a use a heat pad for my back.. I bought those things but didn't use it yet. I'll save it for later. I used some icy hot cream on my side, back, and abdomen and that helped.. and I could sleep. I feel better now, so I'm mostly a happy camper at this point.

So it may not really be anything, if you experience any bleeding, or something else abnormal then you should definitely seek help. But look at how severe my pain was, and there was nothing they could do.

Well the water definitely helped! Although I just went to the bathroom and had a tiny bit of blood, but I'm not sure if it could be leftover from when DH and I had sex 2 nights ago. I'll see how the next few hours go.

I would call the doctor. Better safe than sorry. I'm sure OB's are accustomed to getting calls throughout the weekend. Take care and KUP!

The only time I've had braxton hicks (minus DTD of course) is when I have forgotten to drink water. But mine are weird and don't hurt, I just tighten up. Water seems to be the magical cure-all for pregnancy. Well, maybe not cure-all, but cure-a-lot.

I was going to say water as well, but if you are also spotting it can't hurt to at least make the call in. It's not like it's the middle of the night or anything.

I would hesitate to make a call! Like the girls have been saying...that is what they are there for! Better to be safe!

I am feeling much much better tonight. No more cramping or spotting, but it did freak me out for a little bit this morning.
