This is my favorite subject right now! Of course I'm not making all of it since it's a potluck Thanksgiving but here's what we'll be having:
Apps- no clue, our friends are bringing these and we're not sure what it will be
Smoked Turkey with smoked sausage stuffing
Dixie Potatoes- cheesy potato casserole with crunchy topping
Sweet Potato Casserole- not the typical icky sweet kind. It has a cranberry crunch topping
Vegetable- my sister hasn't figured out what yet
Homemade Mac and Cheese
Cranberry Relish- fresh cranberries with orange zest
3 layer jello salad
Derby Pie- like pecan pie but with chocolate chips and less nuts
Brown Sugar Bundt Cake in the shape of a turkey
It's just the three of us and my BIL so nothing to fancy.
Starting with diff. veggies and dips, maybe some deviled eggs for me since no one else likes them. Roast turkey breast, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green beans, brussel sprouts (for me), home made stuffing, cressent rolls, home made cranberry relish/sauce, jello pink fluff stuff, home made apple pie & purchased pumpkin pie... plan to have lots of left overs LOL

Desert: (my favorite!)
Mud pie (home made chocolate pie filling in oreo crust)
ice box cheesecake
new york style cheesecake
I literally just typed the list my mom and sister and I jsut sat down and made today. Between us three and my grandma, we cook pretty much everything...and to top it off, we always make a TON of fresh cinnamon rolls for everyone for breakfast. This dinner thing is a big tradition...we do it all over again a few weeks later for Christmas, too! I LOVE it!! Sadly, this year, I won't be doing nearly as much....just whatever I can handle doing sitting down.
My mom, sister, and I just finished baking a TON of bread to sell...we do that every thanksgiving and Christmas, too....which is how we actually pay for the dinners! It's so much work, but totally totally worth it!
