It started last night around 10--I started to get these sharp stabbing pains around the sides of my belly button and below it, maybe an inch or two. It even hurt when I tried to laugh...I mean, literally, I was trying to laugh at a show, and was almost in tears b/c it hurt but I couldn't stop laughing.

Then this morning I woke up, got showered and dressed, no problem. Then I stand up from maybe sitting for 10 mins. w/this horrible pain right around my belly button and an inch below...it hurt so bad that I had to keel over onto the bed and if I tried to stand up, it was crampy again...but localized cramping..like a muscle spasm. I started to massage the area and take deep breaths and eventually was able to stand up...now I feel sore and scared to move suddenly.

I did a lot of moving on Sunday so maybe it's muscular?
I am 21 weeks today and still have not felt any movements what so ever.
I get cavities filled w/o novacaine, so when I say something hurts, I'm not lying..and this hurt.

Anyways, I'm waiting to hear back from my drs. I think maybe it's a muscle spasm...Matt thinks maybe she moved...I was showing a bit for a couple days...strangers were asking me when I'm due, so I must have looked pregnant...but now this morning my belly doesn't seem as prominent...maybe that's why.

Any thoughts on this?

My only guess would be round ligament pain. I used to think this could only be really mild, but a few weeks ago I ended up in the ER in the middle of the night thinking I was in pre-term labor....it was round ligament pain. Apparently it can manifest at different stages and with varying pain severity.

Definitely KUP!

Well it was just muscular...dr. called back and said I over-did myself Sunday. It makes sense...Saturday night we painted our living room, then Sunday we moved furniture and I steamed cleaned my carpets w/that heavy cleaner...pushing and pulling back and forth...using my abdominal muscles...

He said if it gets worse def. call, but it sounds like sore muscles and I HAVE to stop doing things like this all the time....He said I need to understand I'm pregnant, so I can't over-extend myself.

I'm going to rest and learn from this b/c I think I do push myself too much...I just am a clean freak and need to learn to ask for help...

thanks ladies for your caring thoughts--xoxo

Glad it was nothing major- not that muscle spasms aren't enough! Do try to take it easy- over extending is not good! I love the feel and smell of a clean house too, so I know i can be very hard to NOT clean!

Glad it was not serious! I know it can sometimes be hard to remember to take it easy.
