Twice now, about 3 weeks ago and then again yesterday, I have felt this weird shock, almost like pins and needles but it only lasts a split second and is accompanied by what feels like baby kicking really hard at the same exact time in the same exact spot. It's just to the left of my belly button. The first time it happened it scared my so much I yelled out "what the hell was that?" lol, in front of my kids. It doesn't hurt. It has to be baby kicking but what's the shock for? All I can think of is it kicked a nerve or something. I can feel him/her moving so things are fine. I plan to ask doc on Friday.

Has anyone had this? I'm avoiding googling it b/c I always freak out when I do that!

From the May ddc, I get this too once in awhile, but on the right side. I had it with my last pg too. My Dr assumes its a nerve in there being touched funny with all of the stretching going on. It's never caused me a problem.

Thanks ladies...makes me feel much better! I figured it wasn't anything to call the doctor about, just ask her at my next appt. But my mind tends to wander and I get nervous sometimes. At least I can feel baby moving now so I know things are ok when it happens.

Oh, and I can't remember the first time, but the 2nd time it happened I was twisting to reach something behind me on the table (while sitting) so maybe it's the way I'm moving too...I will have to pay attention if it happens again.
