I felt it creeping up on Sunday...that itch in the back of my throat, the burning in my nasal passages and thought "Oh please noooo, can I just skip the winter sinus cold this year?" I guess the answer was no!

I drowsily made it through my classes yesterday, but by the time I got home I was wiped out and my head has been constantly draining like some evil leaky faucet. I got about 4 hours of sleep last night, woke up at 4am-ish and could not get back to sleep. Hard to sleep with your nose stuffed up and dripping everywhere.

Oh how I really wanted to run out last night and get some tylenol sinus & cold night time stuff so I could sleep!

I salute anyone who's dealing with or has dealt with a cold or other illness this pregnancy. It's cruel and unusual punishment! I do have a doctors appointment today so I am totally skipping my classes and bringing a doctors note in as an excuse. I can't imagine sitting through class blowing my nose every 2 minutes.

Just wanted to whine. It's 6am and I've been up for a couple hours and I'm just miserable.

ANYONE have anything that actually WORKS? I'm sure the doc will tell me something, but I doubt it will be helpful...probably just grin and bear it.

Sorry you're not feeling well, I've been dealing with sinus issues for what feels like ages already (I normally have sinus/allergy issues but its so much worse not being able to take all my normal meds) I've just been taking sudefed and tylenol as needed but neither help very much, also use a humidifier in my room and those plug in vicks type smelly things... I've read some women here posting about something or other you insert in your nasal passages that washes them out?

Feel better!

Ohh I feel your pain! I'm allergic to sudafed, too so I can't take that....I drink a lot of tea with honey and lemon when I'm sick. Keep lots of fluids in you to help with the congestion.

Feel better soon!

I feel for you. I got it on Thanksgiving and the weekend kicked my butt becuase of it. I couldn't sleep even with my head elevated. Now, today, a bunch of junk has decended into my chest and I can't cough it up. Sorry TMI.
It really sucks for you as you have to make it through classes and then come home and take care of everything else! Yuck. Hope you can get some rest in and feel better soon. I don't even know what we can take as far as medicine.

I'm not sticking anything up my nose!! The usual family cure is hot tea, lemon, honey, and whiskey...lol can't go that route.

If you have whiskey in the house sniff it. I know it sounds stupid, but it works for me. That or hot sauce.
