spinach artichoke dip from a restaurant sounds yummy, of course we've spent way to much on eating out lately so I'm likely going to have to wait a week or so till I can talk DH into going to dinner and ordering it.

it's so weird, i have no cravings. i mean, i get hungry and feel like eating certain things, but these pregnancy cravings that i hear about where the husband has to go out at 4am for salt and vinegar potato chips...i haven't had anything like that! it's kinda sad!
i mostly feel like oranges, avocadoes and dried apricots. i am eating lots of peanut butter and am loving decaf tea. nothing too crazy.
tonight for dinner, i am doing something chickeny in the crockpot but haven't decided what yet! any good ideas? i think i only have chicken thighs and i don't feel like going to the store!
We are either having Hamburger Helper or Sweet and Sour Chicken. I haven't decided. I have mainly craved spicy things - like jalepeno's and banana peppers. Also oranges. But I haven't had a craving where it was so strong that I made DH go out at 4 am!!! Maybe those come later?
I can't say that in any of my pregnanices I've ever wanted something so badly I was willing to make my hubby trek out at 4:00a.m. Sleep is far too important to me to warrant that!
I have had cravings though and really, really, really wanted something. Then, if its a reasonable time, I will send hubby. I'm incredibly lazy and hate to run out for something myself! It upsets the balance of the evening- getting babies baths, kids showers, clothes laid out, homework checked, laundry done, house picked up, ect. Errands screw up all that and then I don't get done with stuff until late. So I ask hubby really nicely to make my food runs. Sometimes, we negotiate a bonus for him later in the evening! LOL!
Yeah, include me on the tuna craving! Eating chunk light tuna once a week is perfectly fine, and for the first couple months of pregnancy, that's exactly what I did because I wanted it so much! It was hard cutting down to once a week! Now, though, I haven't been eating it as much, but that's only because we can't afford right now to eat at Subway once a week---not until DH gets his first promoted paycheck (counting down the days till the 18th! Yahoo!!), and then I'll be eating at Subway all I want...err...once a week...
Basically, I've been craving sweet tea a lot, so decaf tea has been a life saver for me! I brew it on the stove and make my own sweet tea since McDonald's doesn't offer decaf (and I looooove MickyDee's sweet tea!!).
And...I know this is stereotypical...but I finally gave in to my off-and-on craving for pickles. I didn't want to, just because I didn't feel like people smirking and saying, "Oh, sure, because you're pregnant." But I've just started my part-time Chick-Fil-A job (will be SAHM once baby arrives), and I get to eat one free meal each day that I work. Chick-Fil-A Sandwich with extra, extra pickles...yummmmmmmmmmm......
Chick fil A chicken sandwich with extra pickles is so yummy! I had one yesterday for lunch.
I don't have any cravings, and actually it feels like my nausea is coming back. So far today I've had some homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast (DH's cousin made them before she left town. I'm not that talented to make them myself). I had some leftover pizza from Carabba's and a slice of cake for lunch. I feel like crap now. I'm pretty sure I won't make anything for dinner at this rate.
The only consistent craving is for anything incredibly spicy. I just had a Subway sandwich loaded with jalapeños. I love hot wings as hot as you can get them too. DH's cousin made a ham on Thanksgiving that was baked in pineapple juice and covered with jalapeños. I normally can eat things really spicy and while I am preggo the hotter the better. I have had cravings here and there for things but once I have it , the craving is gone.
