i'm still trying to conceive so i'm still spending my days googling maternity && fertility && newborn topics ENDLESSLY, && i came across this! it sounds COMPLETELY absurd to me, but then i watched an actual legitimate news story on it (on cbs i believe? either way, it's on youtube somewhere) && i started thinking, if this is actually possible, i'm so on it! apparently it says it can tell whether you're having a boy or a girl from as early as your 7th week of pregnancy, checking for hormone secretions from male foetuses in the mother's blood stream. if it's there, it's a boy, if it's not, it's a girl. they claim to be more accurate than sonograms done later in pregnancy && they say if they get it wrong, they'll give you your money back. SOMEBODY TRY THIS && GIVE ME FEEDBACK! lol ... The Baby Gender Predictor Test: Am I having a boy or girl?

the way I have heard it works, is if you have any male come through on the test its a boy, otherwise its a girl. Only because a woman would not have any male genes it her.

I've heard that on the box it says "50% accuracy rate" That's when I said No, thanks. I can just guess and have that accuracy rate.

My friend who just had her boy on the 5th used it and it did say boy for her. However it's 50/50 so I'd definitely look at it as entertainment and not much else.

I don't know about that....I know people that have used the intelligender and had it be correct. but I wouldn't go out and buy a house full of pink stuff because of something like that. If it was that easy to tell the baby's gender the dr's office would have them and everybody would use them.

did some more research ... it's not the intelligender thing, they use the finger prick thing that you use for diabetes to check your blood sugar? && they actually say 95% accuracy, && if you fall within the 5% that's wrong, you get a full refund ... but i guess they wouldn't compensate you for all the baby stuff you already bought!

I haven't seen any good stats on this one. If any of us try it we should keep a thread with the accuracy results. We are not planning to find out baby's gender.

I've spent enough money on pregnancy tests LOL...I don't think I would rely on a gender predictor too much. I'm not planning on finding out the gender anyway.
