I was just about to click "post" and my wonderful sweet Lucy decided it was time to step on my keyboard and delete everything. Apparently she is still mad at us for getting her spayed.
So here I go again.
I need ideas for easy shower games for my baby-shower. Maybe 2-3. The women attending the shower aren't big gamers. My shower is going to be mostly just eating and socializing, but I still want to play a game or two or three.
I was thinking easy like, buy a baby bottle and put candy in and have everyone guess and whoever guesses correct wins a prize. That type of easy...
Also--do I need to buy party favors to hand out? Is it considered rude if I don't? If I must what do I get everyone? I never take the party favors when I go to weddings. In fact, for my wedding, we donated money to the ASPCA and had a little card that said "Matt and Kristin donated to the ASPCA in your name" and placed it on their table. If I really should have a favor, I need ideas for food ones...I'd rather buy something that people will eat.

There was a game that I thought was kind of fun at a baby shower that I attended. It was simple: From the time that the game was started to the end of the baby shower, no one was allowed to say the word "baby." Every person there starts out with two pin-ons (which were decorated clothes pins) on their shirt, and if you heard another person say "baby," you took one of their pins and put it on your shirt (and vice versa, if someone hears you say "baby"). By the end of the shower, whoever has the most pins wins a prize. (I happened to win, because I kept tricking people into saying "baby." LOL! ) It was fun and easy, and it brought about a lot of laughter.
We just had one at work for the PTA president and we played a game where you put 10 baby items in a bag or pillow case. Let everyone feel what's inside without looking and give them like 10 seconds. Then they have to write down all the things they think were in the bag. It was cute. Also, everyone that came had to sign a onesie which was also cute.
P.S... some of the things they put in the bag were baby clippers, baby medicine dispenser, rattle, bottle of baby shampoo, pacifier, bottle, bootie, changing pad (portable one) etc...
