Sorry if this was asked before.. But my pregnancy journal (called My Belly Book from Barnes and Noble) marks the start of the 25th week as the beginning of the 3rd trimester. But What to Expect When You're Expecting says it begins at the start of the 28th week... I've read both things in my Google search, so which is right??
i have always been told by miswifes etc that 28 weeks is start of 3rd trimester but it is quite confusing as i have also heard 25 weeks is the start, i will stick with the midwifes etc and what they say

I think it's 28th, but to be honest it doesn't much matter. Trimesters were only introduced after Roe V. Wade to better differentiate when it was legal to have an abortion.
~Beth~ Wife to my Airman Chris, and mommy to: Anthony Nathaniel (8/31/04), Anastasia Fae (8/01/06), Baby C (lost on 10/12/07), David Cillian (7/31/08), Charles George (4/29/10), and Alan Christopher (2/22/12)
I think it's the 28th also. My doc explained it to me like this: All trimesters consist in 13 week increments.
So, the second tri begins after 13 completed weeks, and the third begins after 27 completed weeks.
