Why can't I imagine her at 14 inches which is what she should be about at 28 weeks? Everytime I "hold her" and rub my belly I think she's the size of my palm. It's not registering that she's bigger and not just nestled in this one spot in my stomach..she could be sprawled out from side to side.

Oh girl I know!!! Every time I read something about how big our little ones are at this stage I just can't imagine it! I think the further along we get the harder it will be to imagine our LO's being that big inside our bellies. Sometimes I try to figure out how my little guy is positioned depending on his kicks and such but man, I am getting them from every angle. Up high by my ribs, down low under my belly button, on the sides....he must be moving all of his limbs and doing a little belly dance at the same time! I can't wait until my US tomorrow morning! I am so anxious to find out how he i sitting in there!
Yesterday I went to see a friend who has a newborn and while I was holding him I just kept saying, I can't believe something about this size is going to come out of me in a couple months!!!
Thank you MeganPixel for surprising me with this super cute siggy-you rock!
It's weird isnt it? I am the same way! Well, at least until last night!! I finally realized how BIG he was when I saw my whole belly rolling and felt pokes on multiple parts of my belly at the same time. I even had the remote control on my belly as he was moving and it was actually bouncing off of my belly whenever he'd move!
Even though I feel totally stretched and get kicks from one side to another I still feel that way frequently... especially during an ultrasound where the wand is right up under my boobs for her head and way down to my crotch for her feet. Holding/looking at DD's baby dolls helps, she has a 12" and a couple 15" and it shocks me that Lily is about the size of the 15" now!

Your title to your thread just cracked me up so much!! I feel the same way!!!!!!!1 There have been sooooo many times when I still find myself thinking, "Oh, well, you probably won't feel him too much, since he's so small..." I seriously am having the hardest time picturing a baby that's over a foot long inside of me. I can't even imagine how he fits!!
I have a hard time imagining how big she really is too. Although, when my latest niece was born last month, I told my sister that I couldn't believe that babies start off that small! Of course Lily was even a little smaller than my niece was.
