Let me start by saying i thought i'd be one who would care less how big my stomach got when i was pregnant. I wanted to be preggo so bad that i thought for sure it wouldn't bother me and i used to get severely irritated when people would say how big they felt.

Well... i am now feeling that way and feel a little bad about it but i can't help it. I really don't think i've grown anywhere except my belly (and boobs) and i've only gained 9 lbs which i've heard is low but i still feel huge. I'm trying to embrace my belly but i feel like it just looks BIG instead of a cute preggo belly. Maybe i'm crazy, i dunno? lol. There are times when i love my belly but then when i look at my belly pic i took yesterday i'm like "woah, do i really look that big?!" and i'm sure it doesn't help that i feel like i'm constantly being judged by other people.

Sorry for venting but i finally understand what you all have been saying for awhile!

Ugh, I completely understand how you feel. I too wanted to be pregnant and never thought of myself complaining a bit about my looks. I even once told my friend (who at the time was around 6 months preg) while she was staying with us for a weekend and was at the lake to get her swimming suit on. She refused and I thought I would be so proud to put a swimming suit on, as it wasn't anything to be ashamed of. Well I totally know how it felt to her, I won't be caught in a swimming suit now... are you kidding??!?!? I'm so uncomfortable in any pants I wear to work and wish how I could just come in my pj pants. I'm carrying super low and my hips are so huge that I can no longer wear any of my previous dress pants for work. Me on the other hand have gained over 25lbs already... and feel like a hippo. Sorry for the vent, but I just wanted to you to know you aren't the only one feeling this way.

I wasn't very small to begin with (I've always been curvaceous with big bbs and big hips), but I've also never been this big in my entire life, so I know what you mean. I've gained a total of about 12 pounds so far, which is also still on the low end, but I just feel like it's going straight to my hips and thighs, and I don't feel attractive at all anymore. I have to over-think every outfit that I wear, because if I don't wear one just right, I look like I have a bunch of lumps and bumps, or if I pick the wrong way to wear something and it covers my stomach TOO much, it just makes me look big (instead of pregnant). I keep thinking that, the larger and more obviously pregnant I become, the less I'll have to worry about such things. I'm hoping that's true. Like you girls, I couldn't wait to become pregnant, and I NEVER thought I'd complain. But it seems like complaining is all I've done this entire time, about one thing or another. lol

lol, not that its funny, but I go back and forth.. somedays, I feel HUGE, other days I don't feel like I am as big as I think I am (I was much bigger with DS) I have gained somewhere in the range of 20 lbs.. DH swears its just in my belly, but I know my hips and butt have gotten wider too.. that was the worst part.. DH took belly pics for me, and took one from the front, I was BAFFLED by how WIDE I looked..argh lol..

Don't feel bad Krista!! I started this pregnancy feeling like a fertility Goddess and was loving every second of my growing bump! Now......I am just plain miserable most days and feel sooooo guilty for the fact that I feel like an elephant and just want the last 11 weeks to be over with as soon as possible even though I am not even close to ready for this little man to show up yet lol

I feel huge also but you know what always happens after I give birth? I go around for 2 weeks feeling light as air and happy with how much lighter and smaller I am. LOL

I can't wait for that part!

Don't feel bad! I think most of us have felt like you during our pregnancies...I know I have! Some days I feel like I look small and other days I feel a little large, although like you I haven't gained much, 11 pounds. I think it is only natural to feel this way, it is a big change! But judging by the pics I have seen of your bump, you look beautiful! You do not at all look fat, just pregnant!

I feel ginormous!! Last pregnancy I felt so great the whole time. Well okay.. not at the end. I did feel huge. But this time I just feel so much bigger. Which I think I am..
It definitely makes a difference that I see noooo pregnant people ever. I feel like they all disappeared and I'm the only one. So I just feel giant compared to all the non preggos around me.
But like Amanda said.. giving birth was the best weight loss plan ever! I remember putting on my clothes in the hospital and feeling soooo skinny. It was amazing. Until 2 weeks go by and then I notice how chubby and messed up my post pregnant belly is!! ha The joys of motherhood.

I know that I'm noticeably pregnant and its my 1st, but it doesnt phase me much. Mainly b/c I just saw a girl that was 9 months pregnant (who was all belly and very petite) and her belly was like 4x my belly. After that, I have no complaints!

Seriously, NONE of us have ANYTHING on her. I wish I had a pic!

But Krista, you're not that big. I got you beat

I don't feel that I *look* all that big, but boy do I feel big! I am in so much PAIN right now I don't think I can stand it! I think she is growing faster than my belly is! I feel like someone is ripping my abs (or whats left of them) right down the seam and I just can't breath! Today she flipped over and I was in so much pain I couldn't stand it! I think she is occupying every inch of space in there and up in my ribs/lung area! Eating makes me feel like I'm going to puke because there is just no room for food in there! I feel so bad for complaining, but boy I didn't think you started feeling this way until month 8 or so! I know it gets miserable near the end, but geez I'm just a little over 6 months. Why the heck do I hurt so bad?! Sorry for the off topic rant there!

Yeah so just an update on the girl that I posted about in my last post who's 9 months prego and due on Feb 9th. She went to the doc today and her baby weighs TEN POUNDS!!!!!

No wonder she was so big! She's only 37 weeks!

I'm glad i'm not alone. I think even if you don't REALLY get huge in your pregnancy, every woman still feels that way from time to time because it's such a drastic change from before, ya know? Gosh i can only imagine what we'll all feel like in a couple months!!
