What does your mothers instinct say your Having? It's been saying boy since very early on. But my instinct also said DD was a boy until we didn't see the necessary parts at our u/s with her So I'm kind of trying not to listen. Though I'm hoping it's right since I keep referring to the baby as "he"
Thing you Least like about Pregnancy? The unknown. I'm not overly afraid of anything happening, but you just never know. Aaaand the back pain.
Thing you like about Pregnancy? Everything else! I'm a nerd and love being pregnant. I feel more beautiful and just feel 'useful' in some way. After giving birth to DD I also felt so much stronger and confident knowing that "I did it!" and I can't wait for that feeling again.
Where did you get the name Kaija? I think its so beautiful! Thanks We couldn't find ANYTHING at all that we agreed on and had looked through books and websites and gone through our family trees and there was just NOTHING. DH is basically 50/50 Finnish/Swedish so we searched for Finnish names and found it! It was perfect from the moment we saw it and I can't even begin to imagine her being named anything else. It's the Finnish variation of the Greek name/goddess Gaia who was the goddess of Earth/Mother Goddess. It also can mean pure or clean.
What is the biggest drawback in your opinion of not knowing baby's gender? PLANNING! Do I wash ALL of our newborn/0-3m clothes in case it's a girl, or just the neutral ones? Should we decorate the nursery, or wait and make it gender specific? And I'm starting to wonder if we've somehow put Kaija at a disadvantage since she can't call baby by name or start saying brother/sister.
What is the biggest benefit of not knowing baby's gender? I'm hoping it will be that moment that he/she is born and DH can look at him/her and tell me who we've got here - A.J. or Kolbie. I really can't wait for that moment.
Where would you like to travel/or your fav. vacation so far?
My most favorite trip I ever went on was to Scotland, England and France when I was 16. I want to go back there and actually appreciate what I saw then.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Ultimately, when I graduated from high school I was going to be a Biology teacher. Then I took some secondary ed. classes in college and realized I didn't like teenagers.
What is your fav. type of music?
Pop/Rock - DMB is my ultimate favorite, but I've also seen Metallica twice
