My house looks like a tornado has blown through it- No joke. With ds being sick last week and then my kidney stone I haven't really gotten ANY of my house work done. Laundry is piling up again. I can't really clean my livingroom yet b/c it's full of new stuff for dd's room like her dresser, bed, bed rail, mattress etc. Her stuff is everywhere. The bed can't be put in her new room until it's put together and the dresser can't be put in there until it's painted.

I'm feeling energetic today and feeling pretty good for a change but I have no clue where to start. My mom is always saying call me if you need help. Well dh has to work all weekend so I'm thinking she should come over and help me put this bed together. It's a twin bed with a trundle and drawers underneath and it came in 3 slim boxes which means it's all got to be put together, even the drawers

MIL would gladly come help me but I'd be so embarrassed for her to see my house like this. My mom wouldn't care but my mom's not the best housekeeper anyway. My MIL is like a Martha Stewart.

So where would you start?

lol i'm like you about wanting the help, and having it if you REALLY wanted it, but being too embarassed about the condition of things to ask.

Well, There is ALOT of work, that by docs orders I CANT do.. Mopping/sweeping/standing for too long.. So DH is responsible for alot.. He is home right now, he's a full time student and doesn't have to travel to campus this semester (got all online courses) but he's a man.. He's kindof lazy lol. Our house is AWFUL.. yesterday I got as far as putting the clean dishes away, but there are a ton of dirty dishes that have to take its place.. its awful

Use the energy while you've got it!!! I WISSSSHHH I could clean and clean and not have to worry about what I'm doing.

I'm always calling my mom to have her help me with projects around the house. Not only does it mean it gets done in half the time and half the effort, it's also a little more fun to have the company than doing it by yourself. Try not to overdo yourself though! I did too much yesterday and my back is paying for it today.
