I had a MUCH better appointment this week than last week! I am 90% effaced and 1 cm dilated. All I need are a few good contractions to get things moving, so c'mon body, let's have some contractions! lol. I've been ridiculous the past couple days, accupressure points, raspberry tea, walking, going up and down the stairs often (my house is a 3 bedroom but each bedroom is on a different floor, so lots of stairs!). I'm going to keep it up!
The best part is if I dont' go into labor on my own, they're going to induce me MONDAY!
The day before my due date. They said I have to go into L&D at 0730, then they'll check my cervix and if they decide I'm still favorable for induction, they'll call my OB and start pitocin! I REALLY REALLY want to go into labor on my own, but I am SO ECSTATIC that I will probably get to hold my boy in my arms MONDAY!
On a side note. . . .had my baby shower on Sunday and it was great! I was SHOCKED at how many people showed up and there is nothing we need for baby now, we have more than enough
They all knew I am using cloth diapers, so nobody gave us those. . .but I think we have enough packs of wipes to last through two kids! lol.
Last thing. . .Last night Jacob decided nto to move for FOUR HOURS. I of course freaked out, and went to L&D to make sure he was still ok. His heart was going strong but he was sleeping or something because it took an hour before he moved at all! Then once he started moving he was all over the place and they let me go home
It scared me though! So that was my very first trip to OB, and my first and probably only NST. It was nice to hear his li'l heart beating so strong and I even had a few contractions too
